Grambling State University World Famed Tiger Marching Band Drumline, ChocolateThunder, they will be performing with Shakira at the NBA All-Star Game Halftime on next Sunday, February 14th 2010!!!!! Congrats C Phi T.

LOL. I am sure they will get an eye full.

On the real.....I like Gram's drum section (minus big Bass Drum :D). I was impressed with their sticking and the sound they had when I saw them at the Bayou Classic BOTB. My LB ZNSPR8502 and I both were commenting that night how we thought they looked and sounded good. So congrats to them representing the World Fame.
 
Be sure to watch Grambling State University Marching Band's percussion section "Chocolate Thunder" performing with Shakira tonight during the NBA ALL STAR GAME at halftime.

Gram always kept a pretty good drum section....

Most of the drummers from my high school would end up at GSU... I guess most of the section used to follow each other up there... But the Snare line was never there problem.. they took/take alot of pride in that section...

I just never liked all the different sized Z's..... And with all the money GSU have I could never understand why they come out with mis matched drums....and the different sizes...
 
Actually they were the best part of that performance. I"m not a Shakira fan so I was not familiar with her music and it was rather boring until the drummers came out! Good Job GSU!
 



Way to go GSU percussion section.... Very classy, detailed, and organized:clap::clap: I see the percussion came out with the old uniforms that GSU use to wear... you know the kind with just the pants, the jacket, and the overlay that you wear over the jacket....Good Stuff! I prefer the old uniforms better than the current ones you have now, IMO.
 
Congrats, and good job! For once, I'm hatin' on :vomit:*ramblin. I would sell BOTH of my testicles for a chance to get that close to A. Keys!!!!

**Scratch that...... I would sell only one, cuz I need the other to hopefully impregnate her.

On a side note, I feel that the DM undulating back and forth was a distraction, drawing attention away from the musicians.

That DM sucked!! He looked like a daymn court jester all over the place. :shame:

The drum section did look nice though! Congrats to Grambling State University for being invited to perform!!! :clap::clap:

But I gotta question. It seems Grambling always has a snare drummer that's way shorter than everybody else..

Is that guy a student? Or is he not a student but just in the drumlnie all the time???
