Glad Southern wasn't involved in another Thursday night game because the Jaguar Nation Board of Regents wouldn't approve it.

Some posters on this board never hesitate to take a swipe at Southern. If you go back and read the other thread about a thursday nite game it was a "road" game. You would think that the host school would have issues with it but our fans spoke up because in the last xx years we have out number them in their own back yard. Because we have a large, faithful, delicated, following we can be outspoken. Some may call it arrogant, cocky, conceited, but we like to call it we're convinced we set the standard in the SWAC. So go ahead and play your Thursday nite game and if we have to play one at home on a thursday I'm sure our fans will show up and support the team and school. Some of you should move all your home games on Thursday because fans aren't attending on Saturday anyway.

GR just hopes they dont embarrass the SWAC
And Yes TGO will be in attendance....damn a job!!!

The SWAC already assured this by eliminating J-State from television consideration.

The SWAC dies a slow painful death everytime Bruce Eugene and the Grambling offensive line is shown to a national audience. GR wishes yall the best though.

Obviously YOU do, or you wouldn't have been reading to respond.

This game draws 5 thousand max on Saturdays....it will draw even less on Thursday. I shole hope Grambling has the good sense to give away free tickets to local high schools or something.

You beat me to it, Gsupe!

Can you just see Dumb-bell on ESPN with that stupid smirk on his face? I can just hear the play-by-play and color commentators remarks now.

ESPN commentator:And Coach? Bell has had that smirk on his face the whole game. Does he not know that he's getting thrashed up and down the field? Somebody better tell him.

ESPN color analyst: We've been told that Bell lives a different world..a sort of "fantasyland" so to speak, in that he's totally oblivious to what's really going on around him.

Stand by:
ESPN commentator: We've received word in the booth that Coach Bell has asked the game officials to run the clock contiuously. What is he thinking??

ESPN color analyst:.....obviously, he does NOT THINK!! :jump:

Can you imagine AJ Memphis being interviewed on NATIONAL TV?

Did anyone check with Mighty Dog and the Windsuit Posse? Hope this doesn't conflict with their Bingo nite.

The agreement to play on Thursday was fully coordinated with our faithful members. We had not planned to purchase new windsuits for 2005, but dress out in golf type pull overs. As you recall the last time we played GSU in the boot the heat was unbearable. Because we agreed to play on Thurs, we decided to dress out in short sleeves and short pants. I am sure Robber will have his camera at the game.

AAMU did SU a favor by taking them to Indy, now we want to ensure Bruce get seen on National TV. I am glad most of you can now see the value of having AAMU in the SWAC. The media waited years to see AAMU move up so they could highlite us on TV. We will have the only game played that night.

If the people will be watching I think they will be more focused on GSU and A&M. The two games they have targeted are because of big name (SU and GSU) and because it won't these "BIG" schools pockets that much. I think AAMU and TSU just happened to be the lucky ones.
But that's just my opinion.

The name Alabama is attractive. When we play especially the D1A schools we draw a crowd. They love to play any school named Alabama. For this reason many fans will be watching. AAMU will have a crowd in Grambling because 90% of our fans can take vacation time.
