Oh Oh! We could have the same situation we had last year. Grambling don't slip up!

The Turkey Day Classic will have huge BCF championship ramifications this year! It could also have SWAC and SIAC championship ramifications (because there will likely be a three way tie for first in the SIAC with head to head tiebreaker being a wash, the next tie breaker is overall record, so non conference games could have an effect on who wins the SIAC)

You're right on the first part, the Turkey Day Classic could likely decide the Black College National Champion - according to the Sheridan Poll.

But the American Sportswire Poll has not been released yet. Last week Bama State was number three in that poll. The number one and two teams lost this past weekend, so we should move up to number one. This poll only ranks Division I-AA teams, and is more widely respected than the Sheridan Poll.

Why alcorn isn't rank and why is ALA. STATE rank so high ?
I know they beat the G-MEN but they also lost to us by a large margin(SUperior)

Everyone, including the pollsters, realize that Bama State lost to Southern and Alcorn because of our quarterback situation. Kennedy did not play at all against Alcorn, and had practiced only two days before he played sparingly against Southern.

Furthermore, those games were TWO MONTHS AGO. Polls often time reflect what a team is doing NOW. I don't think that anyone can argue that RIGHT NOW Bama State is the hottest team in all of Black College Football, and playing better football than ANYONE. We are on a seven game winning streak, which I believe is the longest streak among Black Colleges.

PLEASE DELETE THIS CRAP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WE ALL ARE ALOT DUMBER FOR HAVING READ IT. THE ONLY REASON YOU ARE EVEN RANKED HIGHER THAN 8 IS BECAUSE CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY.

i thought this was the sport board????

Anyway.... Deuce kennedy started and played the whole game and as for as us being home if we beat PVU this week we can go to B-HAM by beating the G-MEN which hasn't been that hard to do lately i know we're injured but it is the classic and unlike others we do have a defense.

WRONG ! ! !

Kennedy did not start against Southern, nor did he play the whole game.

B.J. Tiger started at quarterback against you guys. Kennedy came in late in the first quarter. Cole then rotated Kennedy and B.J. at quarterback. Kennedy probably took about half of the snaps in that game.

Kennedy's first start this season was against J.C. Smith. Bama State has not lost a game with Kennedy as the starter this year.

Just imagine Bama State-v-Tuskegee for the NBC Championship. The schools are only 35-38 miles apart. And the game is expected to be a sellout. A national T.V. package should have exposed this game. You can't get anymore tickets on ASU's side. Only the endzone and Skegee's side are left.
