Grambling has best Halftime Show





You know what....I've been around this world and everytime I have a GSU anything...white people offere to buy it off of my back. I am not saying that white makes right. What I am saying is Grambling is a cross cultural band, which makes us great.

I can say the same thing about SU. I saw a white lady in the mall with a Human Jukebox shirt on and everytime I have my band shirt on black and white people tell me how great The Human Jukebox is. Btw congrads on whatever it is ya'll won. :tup:

As a matter of fact Black people whom I have run in to revere Grambling....they quickly say..."How is Eddie Robinson? I heard he was reall sick."

Having seen several SWAC bands perform last season (and having seen Grambling twice), I will respectfully agree to disagree with that assessment.

Hmmmm.. Watching a halftime in a stadium that even the fans don't think is good enough to pack, though it is small, and to which the team thinks 4 home games are pushing the fear of being toooo many? Hmmmm... Someone in Denver rating Black College bands? Hmmmm.... How much exposure would they have...

OK, Congrats for the recognition. Though the statement seemed to be a little back handed to me... But, perhaps, I reading more into his comments than was intended.

What is your point. ICON Grambling averaged 16,663 fans this year which equates to about 85% of the stadium filled on 19,600. What does that have to do with the article?

"Eat fried chicken, pasta salad and chocolate chip cookies while watching the legendary Grambling Marching Band perform at Eddie Robinson Stadium." Is this what is suppose to make GSU the best halftime? What does this have to do with the performance the band members give their audience? Who do you know is eating and watching halftime? We watch halftime (if it is worth it) and go get something to eat after halftime is over.

So, again, I say it read like a back handed slap to me or disrespect for the value of the HBCU marching banc experience.

As for the home game deal, GSU's marching band is known for the performances on the road (not in Robinson Stadium). Playing and performing in Robinson Stadium isn't a priority at Gram. So, why would an informed writer use that as the selling point for the selection. Again, just reads a little back handed to me.

But, like I said, taking the recognition at face value, congrats to GSU.
