Grambling Fans Are Being Simple-Minded About Donte’ Jackson's Exit


I am going to speak for myself. It hurts to lose a good coach to any team, but to lose our coach to a conference school stings. It’s Coach Jackson right to leave, but I wish he would have stayed. I hope AD Scott secures us a good coach. I think the GramFam is skeptical of the new administration including Dr. Scott. That is something I talk about privately not on a public forum.
 



Grambling is a unique place & you have to want to be there long term. Actually a little surprised that they kept a young up & coming coach for nearly a decade with no real ties to the area. I get it that his family wants a " change of scenery " because I'm not sure I'd want to spend my entire career in Ruston/ Grambling depending on the stage of my life. Bama A&M seems to be a outstanding school , familiar AD in Bryant & a bit more urbane location.


I'm actually going to be behind him & A&M on some occasions when not playing Gram or Southern. I wish him & Bama the best.

It's a good place to raise a kid and laid back- but to be successful there you gotta accept the location, get involved with the locals and date one to get your mind off of it and forget where you come from if your from a big city - do that and you'll survive in no time

Hell naw. I love living in Huntsville but bruh these women in Huntsville flakey as hell. You talking about a headache. Shyt and it just ain't the ones raised here. It's all these crazy heffas. Run ninja run.

Very true....in order to be comfortable here you really have to marry a lady from the area...then join a frat.....if coach Jackson was married to a young lady from Ruston or Grambling he would still be here. He lived in Monroe.
 
But they got him too but he knew how to survive 🤣 folks still never accepted he went to southern 🤣

Living in Monroe is frustrating if you don't understand it - that's a place folks assume it offers city life but in reality its a far cry - shreveport offers more of that plus it's near the Texas border but a longer drive

Now if you can afford squire creek then your hood but they ain't letting us over there

I don’t know about voodoo in North Louisiana, more like whodoo (bat $hi+ crazy) for some though. The last time I was in Monroe (which was decades ago), I was at an after hours joint sitting at a table with two chicks and another dude. One guy kept on walking by the table. One of the ladies told me it was the other woman’s husband and he had been putting hands on her. A minute later old girl stabbed the stalker and the whole club cleared out and so did I. The company I worked for at the time sent me down there to work for a week. Never had the desire to return…😰

Both Shreveport and Monroe suck
