Pot calling the kettle black. You're a idiot because you're generalizing. Alot of SU folks came on here and congradulated ya'll. Stop bytching about what one person said because there are many SU threads that *ramblinites (including YOU) fugged up. I'm sure tampax is there because you have a 24/7 period.

NOW, YOU need 2 be real. There is no way in Sam Hill that you, or any other Gulf State Utilitarian, was proud of that performance! Even outside of the piss-poor song selection, that had 2 be THE WORST I ever heard :vomit:*ramblin sound! Can you honestly refute that statement?

Call me crazy, but I, personally, would rather have NO representation (for the SWAC, or even HBCUs) than to have BAD representation.

In my heart of hearts.... I just wanna know what the selection process is. What heading scale are they using? What type of curve is there?

GSU band = Class, Tradition, No ESPN fights and slapping guls with trumbones. I always said that the fight on ESPN really hurt SU image and future opportunities. Look at all the stuff that Gram band has done. SU band is a good band in STC eyes but....Why isn't folks beating down SU door for appearances?

SU messed up the curve a long time ago. One thing I will say about Pannell is that he is getting GSU band plenty of exposure and he is very good with corporate america and getting stuff going. The Grambling BAND name "WORLD FAME" does not hurt either. It's like a football recuriting at GSU. Dat coach already got a leg up cause of the name of GSU. As does the band. I have been impressed as well as depressed this year by da band this year but GSU still gets the invites EVERYYEAR!!

GSU don't have no massa' or boss. People like GSU band cause its traditional and its hip at the same time. Da GSU name has created that mystic about the WORLD FAME. Gram plays marches when opening a show not rap music. Not a whole bunch booty shaking dances either. GSU is what corporate AMERICA wants.

Again I have been at times highly IMpressed and Depressed wit this band performance but at the end of the day I STILL LOVE IT CAUSE IT'S SO TRADITIONAL and Pannell is very classy and exibits GREAT PROFESSIONALISM ALL THE TIME!!!!

Da Boom has that Class too. They have been some places also.

GRAM has been quite a few places and gotten more invites than most bands get in 5yrs.

1-SUperbowl
2-SUgarbowls
2-Black college all-star games
1-Grand opening of the SUperdome
6-NFL games
and the Jukebox marched in the ROSE BOWL PARADE

What makes yall silly Negroes think that SU gets no invites?! Damn, communist China wanted SU to come for a 2 week long celebration including several parades and such..... CHINA muh-fucca!!! CHINA!!!!! Free of charge to us.... We declined. Do yall think Tampax and Coke came to yall 1st? I'm not saying that they approached the U 1st, but I'm sure yall weren't the 1st and only band propositioned.

Like I said, I feel yall are the SuperHead of bands. TAMPAX?! Get real....

Uh STC, SU has traveled and gotten invites since the 98 fight. Hell they have even left the country since then. LOL.
 
You have not missed them yet; they are number 31; a few after the Lousiana Leadership Institute Band which just turned it out....:nod:

The Louisiana Leadership Institute Marching Band from Baton Rogue has a lot of ?Human Jukebox? flavor; they really looked and sounded GREAT!
 
Yeah I saw both. I saw LLI and they indeed sounded great looked good. The 2007 was nice to. Grambling wore some kind of Star Wars costumes
