The Lakers kept the greatest basketball player in the world and chose to build around him. That was the right thing to do in the LONG run. GR is mad at the Lakers for not trading The Big Game Misser earlier in his career. When that big bastard didnt get his toe operated on right after the last championship, Jerry West should have traded Shaq that year. If GR is paying your big Crybaby ass 22 mil a year, you get your toe operated on in the offseason, not a week before the season begins. That was the beginning of The Big Sissy getting traded.
The Lakers went downhill when Kobe got injured compiled with Rudy T not being able to finish the year. Now GR knows that none of the commentators have pointed that the Lakers went right down when Rudy T was forced to quit. When they get a real coach, they will be back in championship form.
