Welcome to my world at Valley smh

Mofos were allegedly so ashamed of our HS scoreboard on national TV with the lights missing but when it came time to actually raise $700K for one, we didn't even raise $2000 (but will complain and then pay $600-$800 for hotels in Greenwood for Homecoming to people who barely do a damn thing for Valley or Greenwood). Even UAPB was able to raise money to up their schollies and then got the Simmons Bank donation.

They pocket watch Jerry and even Coach Dancy but won't even drop $20 for two canisters of Gatorade for the soccer team.

Appreciate Coach Prime for what he is doing but it is not his job to raise money for Valley but the sorry a__ AD (and the presidents who covered for her) who was in place for almost ten years but saw our budget DECREASE under her even with an infusion of COVID money.

OK. I'm through venting lol. Y'all know this is a sore spot of mines and can't stand complacency

Better than ours. The founder of Back Yard Burgers is a DSU alum and has dropped some good money back into the school.

Went to a baseball game a couple of years ago. Field turf and video board. I can't hate on em.

The west side of Cleveland along Highway 8 around the football field has pretty much transformed

If we could only get someone to drop a million or two into Itta Bena. I promise I could have it the same way because the land is so cheap

We can do it. Just have to stop giving our funds to Rev. Pork Chop, Nike, Dior, Versace, and the Asian/Indian business owners.
 



Very noble of Prime to do that for Valley. Upgrades all around campus are sorely needed. My cousin played there under Comegy and I was shocked at not just the athletic facilities but the dorms too. Knowing what they deal with budget wise and facilities wise, it's a shocker Dancy wasn't COY this past season.

The one shining star is the HPER Complex, if everything else can get to that level WATCH OUT SWAC!

I see that Delta State budgets $9M more that Valley in tuition and fees.
 
Valley is in the poorest region in the poorest state of the country. Them having financial issues & problem with giving back shouldn’t be surprising.


But good on Coach Prime for doing this. This is why I turn my nose at HBCUs who run to white conferences. You won’t get this type of love and support anywhere else!
