If I was SU I would counter sue them mofos for breach of contract. While I don't think those kids deserve to be beaten like that. They also have to be responsible for their own actions. Those parents sent their kids to SU to be in the band and school and the school did everything they could to protect them. They chose to be hard headed and defy the school and go do what they wanted. I would take my chance with the PC world. Sooner or later folks going to have to stop bending over just to appease the system.

People getting million dollar awards these days for bullshat they created on their own by being stupid and then screamed victim afterwards.

hurt kids, crying mothers, angry fathers in a courtroom?
As a university, I would not take that chance on this one.

This is the typical Denial mentality you are seeing. Hell, some folks just want to see this hazing BS stopped before even more kids are hurt or even killed. It don't matter what school, frat, or band is doing it. It's wrong and should not be defended. It's all our business.

this is why I can't stand band hazing topics, period. everybody "suddenly" becomes an expert, and opinions get thick and righteous as hell, especially niccas who aint even never stepped on nobody's bandfield, oh they get verbal as hell. STFU. Damn. :tdown: it aint necessarily been this topic per se, but yeah i've seen it.
 
I blame SouthSuburbs for this. She hazed po Sarge so much he got her in all his homecoming pictures. She thank she slick. I heard she was necking Sarge behind the bleachers.

I HATE THESE KIDS!!!!! Hell, I'm even ashamed to say that yes....... The young "man" in the original suit if from the same city as myself. I understand shit got outta hand, but you CHOSE to be there bruh. Just deal with it. Sue YOURSELF, for being too weak minded to say either NO, I'M NOT GOING....... or HEY, THAT'S ENOUGH. And his parents should be ashamed for encouraging him to go through with this non-sense. They ALSO knew the types of things that would possibly go on while he was at Southern University in the marching band. They was cool with it when they helped pay for his school with that scholarship money. Now, dude feelin' played, and want some money. Get real.

My PARENTS woulda looked at me like I was :retard:if I told them I wanted to sue over some shit that I KNEW ABOUT, and CHOSE TO GO THROUGH. Did they MAKE him go to the tighten-up? No, that's kidnapping. Did they FORCE him to get in the cut? I hope not. I'm pretty sure he was standing there willingly holdin' his nuttz like so many of us did also.

The school should sue all of these kids on principle, for like $20,000 each. Unless he was 17 when he signed the paper that said "SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY HUMAN JUKEBOX DOES NOT CONDONE HAZING.................yaddaa-yaddaa", I don't see why they COULDN'T do it.
 
I want to put this boy Marcus Heath on blast


1. In Jan. of 2009 he had a myspace page with a Mello Phi paddle on it glorifying what he been through. He was in the hospital in December of 2008 but in Jan of 2009 he a gangsta trying to look hard in his pics with a paddle.

2. He and his mother signed the anti-hazing form in August of 2008

3. He had a personal visit from the band directors in October of 2008 warning him to not participate in any foolishness

4. He was dumb to participate and he went off campus now he wants to blame SU for his dumbness

5. He call himself "Swiggy" and now he is a student in Norfolk State's band

Both Marcus and his mother are STUPID and trying to scam SU out some money


I also fault the District Attorney for being weak and only giving the guilty hazers a 500 word essay like it's elementary school detention

I fault the Chancellor of SU for not sending a strong message and putting these students out of school (hazers & hazees)
