My understanding is the white folk in Tenn. have made it clear that TsNU ain't going no-where by way of state mandate.
As for getting the rattlers, doesn't SWAC already have enough egomaniacs?

I think that the problem with your format would be traveling expenses for the Texas&Louisiana/Florida schools matchups. An East/West format would be much more economically acceptable (IMHO).

I am 100% opposed to FAMU joining the SWAC.

Adding FAMU, makes the SWAC championship game the real championship game instead of the Bayoo Classic being the Championship game.
I think they should become an independent at this point.
If FAMU were to join the SWAC, it would a distraction because of their current situation. I think at this point we can accomplish more without them than we can with them being a SWAC member. I don't think the SWAC should approach them to join, but if they want to join they should seek membership into the SWAC.
I cannot support the manner in which the decision was made to leave the MEAC. There is no justification for how they did it. If fact, it seemed that more people was for the move than against it.

The SWAC should rejoice that you are not the commissioner. :flippy:
Are you crazy? FAMU is the largest HBCU by enrollment (13,000+), Every year they rank in the top 5 in 1AA attendance, They played in 3 of the top 5 Classics this past season. They are in the #1 football state. By adding FAMU the SWAC goes from ZERO playoff wins to having a Championship. And most importantly when it comes to HBCU football FAMU has the largest most talked about band. FAMU will only make the SWAC better and more respected. At one time, I thought it was a great idea to have TnSt and FAMU to join the SWAC, but now I don't see any value added, because the SWAC consist of 10 outstanding State Institutions. The SWAC consist of Alabama: AAMU and Alabama St; Mississippi: Jackson St, Alcorn and Mississippi Valley; Texas: PVAM and Texas Southern; Louisiana: Southern and Grambling. Without a doubt you cannot get any more elite than this, therefore, knowing the history of these great universities should be reason enough to make an application.
If I was the commissioner, you would be calling me every week trying to get in. It is time to play hardball and stop acting like we need these other two schools.

I respectfully disagree with the way you believe we should pursue Florida A & M University and/or Tennessee State University
Mighty Dog
Your argument didn?t have any merit. The only thing you proved is you are very pro swac. Can you please explain how TnSt and FAMU will not add value to the SWAC? In my previous post I told you the advantages FAMU brings to the conference. What is so elite about PV, Alcorn, MV,and ASU? (Once again don?t get offended by this statement) These are small universities with little to no recognition beyond those who follow the SWAC. Donald Driver was on the Two Live Stews last week (those in the Atl know what I?m talking about), and was asked when was the last time he went back to Alcorn. He statement was, ?Six years ago, I got love for Alcorn but there is nothing down there.?
Where were you at when the ACC raided the Big East? Media Markets? Football strength? Attendance home and road? Does this not mean anything to you? You saying the SWAC is better off by not adding FAMU or TSU is like saying Big Ten will be better off by not adding Notre Dame.
This is something that was told to me by a business owner where I was interning during my TSU days. Something I found to be very true. BUSINESS IS ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS. Meaning the relationship you build plays a great deal on the success or failure of your business. If Alabama State had a business relationship with Alabama they would make more money and gain more exposure than their current relationship with AAMU.
Ahhh......caught you Jafus. WE....how We should pursue FAMU. I knew you were a SWAC man trying to sabotage the MEAC.
You already coax the Rattler's into looking away from the MEAC and look where it got them. When the MEAC page re-opens I'll make sure I tell folks to run when they see you Posting.
We......te te te te.....SMH

But, I disagree that Prairie View A & M University with an enrollment of 8,080 and the 2nd oldest institution of higher education in the state of Texas is a small school with little to no recognition...............
