Funny story from work

So there's this woman I work with from New Orleans right? She's always reppin Louisiana to the death especially the damn Saints. Anyway we were discussing football and a "other" chick asked her who her team was and she said Southern. I guess she didn't expect any of us to know about em but she's like.. yea I went there and all of my family did too. So the "other" chick is like.. whats the mascot? This chick said the southern university cougars LMAO. Me and one of the other dude looking at each other like wtf... you went there but don't know the mascot? SMH I think we got one in the office false claiming a college. Even so.. how you from new Orleans and don't know the damn southern mascot? I'm tempted to call her out.
 



Isn't their a SU campus in New Orleans? If so, does it have it's own athletic teams? Just wondering.
 
No it isn't.. Southern in New Orleans mascot is the "Knights"....

Yaeh her ass is lying....lol It's alot of folk from New Orleans that wanted to go to SU but never go and will lie about being there.... They do that with the band a lot....

That's almost like a friend of mine texted me that a friend of her's went to Alabama State....then gone ask her to ask me, "when is Homecoming?" I responded, "if she REALLY went to ASU, then she should know the answer to that." :| :lol:

Not to mention, most of us don't even refer to it as homecoming....we simply call it Turkey Day. :tup:

I agree... if she ain't never do me know wrong, I wouldn't go there... But I would pull her on the side and let her know I know she ain't telling the truth... Hopefully from there she would cool it with lying about that.
 
Yall have to understand. That's how those Orleans Parrish folks are. They claim anything they think is good, but I dont understand why she would claim SUcks in a Sweet Lenny year?

She's a woman. She may have just made a "mistake". :noidea:

While it's true that she may be lying about her attendance and her degree, I'm willing to bet that it may also just be what white folks call "a blonde moment" and nothing more.
 
Didnt wanna be the one to say it but.. i was thinking it but I doubt it. Well at least with me they checked my credentials like I was trying to get a job in the pentagon or something lol

It was a chic on FB from Jackson who tried to claim it!! True story.....even had her baby wearing a TBS shirt. :lol: :smh:

But my comment was about someone else I know tried to claim something, but I was called "messy" for calling them out. :rolleyes: :emlaugh:

Maybe she bought her degree and never attended SU!:lol: Just messing with you SU folk. I've ran into females that didn't know about the mascots at their schools. She probably just forgot. It's hard to believe that she forgot but it's possible. It's no way I would forget the GSU Tigers!

:| I really and truly don't understand how that is possible unless their school didn't have much of an athletic program or they just spent ALL their time in the books. :lol:

And besides....even if this chic didn't attend SU, if she is as big of SU football fan as she claim to be, then she should still know the mascot. :nod: :lol:
