If I had to pick one team right now for the 2026 SWAC Football Championship, I’d take Alabama State — but it’s a very close race.


🏆 My 2026 prediction: Alabama State Hornets


The preseason evidence points to a three-team battle:


  1. Alabama State — my pick 🏆
  2. Prairie View A&M — defending SWAC champion
  3. Jackson State — my dark-horse championship pick

The official SWAC preseason poll has Alabama State first in the East with 16 first-place votes, while Prairie View A&M is first in the West with 19 first-place votes.


Alabama State also has a major advantage at quarterback: Andrew Body was named the 2026 SWAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Jackson State counters with Kam Sallis, the preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

Bruh nawl. 2 FAM alums told me they look forward to playing Bama St in the SCG at Bragg and that JSU wasn't a factor in the "SWAC vision." (I think they meant division but said vision)

I didn't correct those 2. I just let them talk and spread all that verbal ignorance and delusion, talking about how they whoop up on sorry assed PV we ain't never won nothing lol and FAM owns every SWAC squad... smh I wanted to burst their bubble and call on the mighty name of Valley State the last 2 seasons but my heart wouldn't let me do it.

PV Social media team doing a whole documentary on fall camp right now.

Lil ole Thee don’t want no problems. We just ask that PV return our keys. Thee still soaking in that foot PV put in our rear ends. Let Tennessee State tell it, we don’t have no rbs. We’re not even the same team. JSU went to the dark basement and has sealed the door.

We’ll come out when PV tell us to. 😔 does anyone have any WR they can let us borrow ? It’s just Nate and cones out there now.

I blame bush .. they just allow anyone to walk across the stage with a middle school certificate of completion. Had they had standards in Florida schools, we’d have 17 year old 2nd graders.
