I ain't trying to be funny. But what is salt meat?

Salted Pork/Ham that is boiled several times to remove some of the salt...but used to season the white beans.... It is a south Louisiana thing. Well they do it a lot in Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes.:tup:

My husband didn't either. He thought it was two separate meals, too. Now, he can't eat fish without the sphaghetti.

I can't eat spaghetti (or mac & cheese) without cornbread but that is different thread.

I will eat fish with anything....I just love it...

mac and cheese
rice

Man, just don't get me around no fish.

I loves me some catfish, but ain't nothing like some fresh bream (blue gill) out the greese. I'm glad it's getting cooler so I can fish more and don't have to worry about the snakes.

I like french fries or fried okra.

I recently learned that people in the midwest eat it with spaghetti. :xeye: I like fried fish. I like spaghetti. I don't like them together. :smh:

I don't like spaghetti with fish. I didn't know people ate like that until I got to JSU.

Man, ya'll made me go into the hood and buy a fish plate yesterday...Yes, I detoured through the ghetto slums of North Philly for some whiting, beans and rice and candied yams.... I paid 7 bucks for a large order and had enough for dinner last night, lunch today....and still got some left.

I'm hungry again so in 10 minutes I won't be able to say that...LOL
