Freddie Mitchell

Yanno, I dont care for the Eagles and I don't care for Terrell Owens but I really can't stand Freddie Mitchell's sorry arse. I can't believe this guy is saying Terrell Owens playing in the Superbowl affected his game negatively. LOL. I watched him a few years ago making that stupid looking gesture he always makes when he catches a pass and figured he was probably an idiot. Now I know, after all of this, that I was right.

I understand Mitchell's frustration. There were occassions when McNabb either overlooked him or chose not to throw the ball when the guy had broken clear! I know he's not a pro bowl guy but any receiver worth a dayum wants the ball thrown his way. I haven't seen Mitchell drop many passes but for some reason McNabb chooses not to give him many opportunities.

Speaking of McNabb, he was pathetic in the Superbowl. Even the balls that were caught were mostly on the receiver's effort. They weren't able to run after the catch cuz the ball was either low or behind.

Frustration my arse. He talked all that **** before the Superbowl about having something for Rodney Harrison and some other Patriots and he does absolutely nothing in the BIG GAME. Now, he is responding with an excuse. Terrell Owens affected his game negatively, LOL. McNabb completed 30 passes for 357 yards. Mitchell had 1 catch for 11 yards. 29 more passes were completed for 346 yards and Terrell Owens had 9 of those for 122 yards. Why were the other receivers able to catch passes? McNabb didnt overlook them. The smallish Greg Lewis (#83 who is gonna run Mitchell's sorry arse out of Philly anyway) and Todd Pinkston combined for 8 catches and 140 yards. Freddie Mitchell is garbage and will probably end up playing for the Philadephia Soul before long.

Do you think that the Patriots may have had more attention put on Mitchell to shut him up and thats how Owens got more balls thrown his way? Remember the Patriots defense did something like that back in the Superbowl against the Bears. They vowed to stop Walter Payton but everyone else on the Bears stepped up and did them in. The Bears started faking to Walter to get the ball to other players and the Patriots defense can be seen over pursuing to Walters side all during the game.

me for believe mcnabb is what rush limphead said. i know limbrough or what ever always have had a messed up view about us, but this time he was right. We want McNabb to be Great because he is black. McNabb is Average at best he is not a big game Qb and will make a lot of mistakes. In the super bowl he made bad pass after bad pass. overthrowing under throwing ints was his whole game. big time QB would have stepped up under the pressure. He has a great o line and wr, plus a d-fence, thats why they are good. McNair is the only Black QB that has the overall skills to win a Superbowl.

McNabb had no zip on his balls...underthrew too many...as for Mitchell...typical of players today..

wanted to get his name out so he had to open his mouth...they are so desperate to be seen they go to great lengths now....jealousy is a son of a gun.

sort of like Corey Spinks...just get in the damn ring and fight! we don't need a prematch concert.

You can like him or hate him but, You can't drop a ball that is not thrown to you! When McNabb did target him, He was the 7th option!!! I've been an EAGLE fan since I can remember football! The Eagles just was in too deep in the event to be effective! McNabb,Westbrook, The entire team! From the Coaches to the water-boy!

Better luck next year! They will be back!

It was apparent to me that the Pats knew TO couldn't hurt em like the healthy TO. They allowed him more space than usual. It could have been the old let him catch it and make the tackle defense. Now, Mitchell has 2 healthly legs and could have been more effective. I thought he played well without the ball, blocking and things.

The Superbowl is the biggest stage in sports and the Eagles simply danced with the girl they brought to the dance, TO and not Freddie. Even thought TO was 100% healthy, he is the reason they had a good season.

Mitchell is another 1st round bust like his QB (McNown) during their days in Westwood. Mitchell has improved since his rookie year (where he could not catch a beach ball), but has not lived up to the hype he garnered at UCLA.

Yall are gonna get off my boy Freddie Mitchell.

The man got overlooked when TO came back. He was a good received before TO's injury and after. McNabb was just not himself at SuperBowl.
Freddie is a GREAT receiver, but you cant showcase your talents when you dont get the ball.

FREDEX needs to go to another team that needs a smaller receiver and person to show the people's belt and FROHawk!!!!!

If Mitchell could play half as well as he did vs. Alabama out in Pasadena in 2000, he might not seem like such a fool right now.

I knew that all that flappin' off at his chops would come back to bite him in the arse.

BF, you are crazy bruh. lol. His career stats over 4 seasons:

90 rec. 1263 yds. 5 Touchdowns.

Translation: He averages 22 receptions for 315 yds and a TD per season.

Mitchell is bad, but McNabb is his QB. That dude could make any WR look bad. He only throws it to TO cause if he doesnt he will get clowned.

Freddie ain't that bad...he just doesn't get the ball thrown to him when TO plays...I think he better than PINKSTON...why he isn't the second receiver baffles me. Besides...GR is right, (I can't believe I said that)...I think McNabb is truly scared of T.O. He let's TO dictate the offense and who he throws to. Whe he let TO cuss him like 2 dolla hoe on the sidelines, I lost a LOT of respect for him. Then he had the nerve to come back a week later and Mock the situation, like it was OK. San Fran let TO do that same B.S. He's gonna step to the wrong teammate one day. Unfortunately, McNabb is not the one.

Yep, Man FRED will get the time to shine, when he gets the ball thrown to him. When TO was out, who was the man catching the ball..............FRED!!!!
TO is eating up the receiving time and not allowing FRED to shine. Either give me the ball or trade me, cause I gots to shine!!!!

Dude you can't be serious, huh? Freddie Mitchell had 14 catches in TO's absence, FOUR PHUGGIN TEEN! He had 8 catches in the 2 playoff games TO missed, so where are all these catches you speak of?

Man had Freddie Mitchell lived up to his 1st round draft status, maybe TO wouldn't be in Philly to begin with. Remember TO was bought in because the Eagles had no recievers. NONE. Chad Lewis was their best reciever, and he was the dayum tight end.

In the 4 years he's been in the league, I don't think dude has 4 100 yard recieving games. He can't get off the line of scrimmage, and his hands are suspect.

At least if you're going to run your mouth, be able to back it up. The sad thing is, TO had more TD catches this year 14, than this clown has in his entire 4 year career. Hell, TO's numbers this season are better than Freddie's career numbers, and he posted those numbers in 12 1/2 games.

As far as Donovan looking for TO, why not? Until somebody can show they can stop him, make them do it? Isn't that the reason they bought TO to Philly for?

NICE

  I agree with the Freddie Mitchell statement
Freddie Mitchell = O-V-E-R-A-T-E-D................even in College!

I also believe people take FM comments out of context. When you SEE him make the comments...he is smiling and being sarcastic most of the time, but when you read the comments, they sound harsh and arrogant.

Let's get this straight...he's no TO any ANY WAY....but he is better than one chance to catch the ball a game.

With 1 MAN comming in this year catching 9 MORE TOUCHDOWNS and almost 800 YARDS MORE THAN Freddie "Oven Mit" Mitchell and company did combined last year, WHY WAS HE TALKING AT ALL. He ain't don shat.
