Fred Kaiss new OC at Alcorn

Bottomline is you struggled with a backup QB that has a good chance to start this year.

We struggled with EVERYBODY.. even FAMUs sorry QB. You have no point.. I have NEVER defended my defense. You keep trying to make it about that. My point is, your offense nor mine moved in the first half... and more than anything else, you all played a team with NO chance on offense in the second half. ..and you still struggled. Thats kinda sad if you ask me.

You just proved my point about your defense not being good. Thanks and enjoy the rest of your day.

probably not (we could have put up 80 on yall) but again that's neither here nor there, I just didn't think the energy of the team wasnt there, it had nothing to do with the D.C. he ran pretty much (again from what I saw) the same d yall ran on us in the ship game..and even at A.W. we just again were the better team..but what will the new D.C. bring to the table that the old one didn't? just curious..

..he gonna bring you a L. Ask Alcorn and TxSo about the JSU defensive talent. Clearly OMJ made defensive changes to end the season and then fired the problem. Just wait for your L. We can send it in the mail if u like.

39 sacks is alot...that's almost 4 a game

How yall OLINE looking this year though? any depth?

Hella depth and we got size..our most important OL is that Samoan center because our center last year would snap the ball in the dirt every play. We average around 6'4" 320 so far so our qb should be behind a wall . As for our defense, Burroughs was the problem. His scheme didn't fit our talent and we scored enough points to win .your defense can't yield 30 points and be considered "good ". We blitzed too much so it became predictable because our scheme required our nose to mmaintain two gaps . Anybody could run on us.

WOW.. did you even read two sentences beyond. MY ONLY point was about my o-line. Also, this thread is about Alcorn but it changed becasue you all don't want to acknolwedge that JSU owns the EAST. That won't change anytime soon.

What changes were made though? like I said/think, the energy wasn't there for you guys but again I didn't watch all yall games so maybe there were changes..

Nah don't send it..

Maybe the energy was not.. we were a 3-4 team that could have easily been 6-1 if we had a decent DC. The morale was down by then. We had just lost to Valley.. THAT Valley. We don't lose to Valley. We leave that up to SU and BAMA State.

With all these comments you have yet to provide any facts. You are only stating your crazy opinion

Ehhh as much as people like to believe they have more talent than anybody..... the swac teams are fairly equal in talent which is why a valley could beat the big three on any given day.I think the "energy " thing you speak of is trust. They had to buy in. This new DC is a disciplinarian and can evaluate talent. He will know if we have the personnel to run a certain scheme. He doesn't mind benching star players and he has more hbcu experience and flat out football experience than Burroughs. He probably also won't have us running a 4-1-6 scheme in the middle of a game like the last one did.

I see...

You see? But you just spent an HOUR saying our defense was not the problem. Our defense was TURRIBLE and I don't even wanna discuss our special teams. Most of us knew SU was gonna run back 2-3 on us. Most teams were running it to the fifty and beyond anyway.. LOL For our defense.. I will say it was terrible but it DID try to hold on most games. However, if we had played our dudes in the right positions, things would have been better. Also, I have no clue what you were looking at becasue before last year, we ran a 4-3. Last year, we installed a 3-4.

..and changing out players after every play! lol

Stop it bruh..we beat Valley last year

Everybody plays a 3-4 now..I thought yall played a 4-3 and at times 5-2 or so.

That's what I thought..about yall front 7, I knew I wasn't tripping lol..

To sum up what TP is trying to say... everything Burroughs touched turned to shit. He was over our spec teams, our secondary unit and the defense as a whole. Our offense was stagnant at times but we scored enough to win. Had we had even a decent DC, we possibly could've won a couple more games but we didn't. Tnsu and SU were our only notable losses imo because they clearly won. Everyone else struggled with us for most if not all of the game.

That exactly what I meant about "energy" "trust"... from the looks of it that SU vs JSU game..it looked like everyone started off on the same page the 1st 6 minutes of the game, and once yall got down. it was like "f coach" we doing our own thing..thus you see the penalties Lol...I sense that when yall got down to us...but yea I think that may well be just what yall need more so than anything..someone who will pull people and who can keep a grip on the team..like I said yall have talent from what I saw...that energy wasn't there though..meh..

Exactly.. Im excited about 2015.

Now back to Kaiss.. LOL He did beat us when he was the OC at Hampton but I think **** was the coach then. I think that team won the MEAC and our DC could have been on that coaching staff.
