Freaknik the Musical?

Now, I have not watched this show and probably never will. (I can't take T-pain's cooning but for so long) However, I heard Steve Harvey going off about this show on his radio show this morning. He was talking about how degrading the show was to black women and such. Has anyone seen it? What are your thoughts?

Indeed, this one-hour special is a complete goof. Fortunately, since it’s on Adult Swim, the types of folks who might be offended are unlikely to see it. In fact, those people who might be offended won’t be impressed by the voice talent, including Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne and “Saturday Night Liveâ€￾ vets Bill Hader and Andy Samberg.

If who missed it last night, here’s a quick summary:

The plot revolves around the Sweet Tea Mob, four Florida rap dudes (T-Pain is from Florida but was too young to partake in the real Freaknik) who drive up to Atlanta to participate in a Freaknik “Battle of the Trillistâ€￾ contest.

Early on, a drunken old dude in a wheelchair explains to the rappers what the party was about. “Everywhere you looked, you saw booty-shaking. Booty in the clubs. Booty in the street. Booty in the trees! People so inspired by positivity, they just got butt naked on their candy-colored cars. It was like a dream!â€￾
 



I haven't seen the musical but I lived in Va Beach when Freaknik came to town and tore it the hell up! Man, them greekies were looting and fighting and sexing in the streets...them other race folks were like :scared: They cut that shat right out after that. Freaknik was NOT invited again...:lol:

When FREAKNIC went on the road, they tried a version of it down on the coast.
People was not having that shat cause negro's REALLY didn't know how to act by that time and this is a carry state.
Freaknic had gotten totally out of ontrol and the next year, they were told point blank not to come back.
 
Is this rap put to a cartoon?

Seems very negative and something that I would not allow to be watched in our house.

I had no idea what T-Pain is, so I looked him up on the net. It does not look good, like a bad version of George Clinton.

SMH This is not funny, IT'S DISTASTEFUL!!! All we can do is contribute to society as individuals and raise our children to do the same. As for the black race, we're the biggest under achievers on the planet! People say, "we need to come together as a race". I say,"The world will end first". We will NEVER come together. Thats right I said it!!!

I missed it but I will hold comments until I do! With the people named to be in it you couldn't expect much but I'll give it a fair look!
 
When I see things like this, I just remember that there were blacks that supported slavery. The times have changed but the mentality is still the same. They justify it with what ever excuse that want, but its no different, if it was back during slavery, they would justify slavery.
 
I watched it and I was appalled. However, as long as these black entertainers are getting paid they don't care what they put out...

That seems to be the norm these days. I'm not suprised.
