We need our own education system. There is just too much being kept from us on purpose. We are not going to totally break the back of racism until we are fully informed. Look at how old those three are, and all of them are in a state of dismay.

I knew about Argentina being a haven for Nazis a long time ago. Until we begin to love Black folk and living amongst Black folk we will for ever be scrapping for crumbs and respect.

Is that possible because miseducation of the negro like Carter G. Woodson wrote about is still in practice here and world wide. Look at how careless we are with who our kids hang around. I heard Ben Crump say there is a case in Kentucky where a black kid was at this gathering with white folks and wound up shot dead, but the investigation is at standstill because white folks at the gathering got rid of the murder weapon and are staying tight lipped.

That is exactly why. How is it our neighborhoods are gentrified but no "white" neighborhoods? We move out of our neighborhoods trying to be upwardly mobile instead of rebuilding on property we already own we move out to go into debt. We don't like living around our kin. There was a time when an entire block would be cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents but not now.

After reading it twice that makes a lot of sense. Loss of land, miseducation and self-loathing has taken a mighty toll on us.

Yes confederates founded the city of Americana in Brazil. However, Black/African culture is so vibrant and strong in Brazil that I exempt them from the no go list!

They have whole towns of confederates descendants and some of those people can't understand why black people would be cautions around them. Their forebears fought for a side who wanted to keep slavery going that specific targeted black people. There was plenty of white folks who decided not to fight for the confederates or went awol.

The Knights of Liberty founded by Moses Dickson had the right ideal of wiping every en-slaver that they could get too off the face of the Earth, but instead opted to abandon that idea in order to help the Union in the war effort by encouraging people to join the USCT.

herb - shame on you - as a northsider - it is an honor for the next generation to tell folks they stay in humble and even now New Caney and Splendora - that means we made it

on the south side - it is an honor tell folks they live in Pearland and Sugar Land

white folks literally gave us their communities when we started moving - but we could never settle down or get everyone on the same page and take full control of the areas so we let it rot cause folsk always want newer

Oak Forest constantly has new houses replacing old houses. Same for West University. River Oaks is a horse of a different color....those houses are built to be maintained.

The think is once we move into those neighborhoods in any number they move out and we are left anyway to be among each other.

The Southern Strategy, initiated in 1964 is still prevalent today.

I first heard of Ibrahim Traore because of a post you made. He is a profile in courage considering what he is up against dealing with Burkina Faso's former colonizer France, and the lack of same courage, to the same degree, by the other former French colonized nations in Africa.
