I JUST WATCH THE BOOM HALF-TIME SHOW AGAINST TSU NO DISRESPECT, BUT WILL THE BOOM EVER DO A NEW SHOW AND WHY DO THE JSETTES ALWAYS DANCE TO KNIGHTS BY KNIGHTS?
 
Someone needs to tell JSU's female Drum Major to either cut her hair short or pin it up when she's in uniform, it doesn't look professional.

They need to just put a dude out there in her place. JSU needs to cut that mess out.

However, I think she does that to let the world know that JSU has a female DM.

Performance wise she is NICE... I saw her up close at Sonic Boom picnic in some park in Jackson in May. She has what it takes... high knee lifts, great performer. Now they NEVER need to interview her again because she cant talk worth a damn.

I thought marching bands evolved from the military; if she were in the military they would make her cut her hair short! They shouldn't allow guys in the band to wear braids, afros, corn rolls, facial hair or ear rings.

When I was in the Boom, our hair couldn't hang beneath the hat. We had to pin in up.

But *sigh*...times have changed.



Does her hair hang beneath when she puts on her hat?

I haven't paid attention to her when she has her hat on.

Does it hang from under her hat while she is performing? If so...that is a no-no..:smash:
 
did the game come on tv? cuz i was lookin for it to be on BET like it usually does but the wayans bros was on...how did they sound?:confused:

I hear that buddy! At the S, no long hair, no excessive facial hair, no earrings. UNIFORMITY!!!! When I first arrived at camp, Mr. J said "Today begins your cloning process. You are no longer an individual, but part of a whole." We are uniform at ALL times. Even at practice!!! Hell, we even get our pants hemmed so everyones pants stop st the 2nd button on your spats!!! TOTAL UNIFORMITY!!!

So, even if she wears it down to show that she is a female, I feel that it is still improper. Once you put on any uniform, your personal identity should be set aside, because your are now serving the greater purpose of the whole entity in which you are a part of. You should not want to stand out, you are supposed to blend in and everyone should look as 1. BCC does a great job of that on the field. They all look like lil wind up toys....
 
Another question for JSU, why did you'll perform to the visitor’s side of the stadium, performing with your backs to the camera sounded like sh@t?

That is some of Liddell's ignorance. Everyone knows that you perform to the home side but he sometimes decides to perform to the JSU side. He should always perform to the home side but especially if it will be on TV.

SOD takes a lot of grief when we are away because we always perform to the home side. It's just common courtesy. However, those days are long gone. Some bands perform to their fans.....much easier to get house that way also. On female drum majors, go back to the days when the female drum major wore shorts. Alcorn did it, MVSU did it. You knew who was who and they were still uniform as far as performance. Maybe one day female drum majors will reclaim their rights to show who they really are.

Uhhh, that's NOT ignorance; that's a CHOICE. Liddell knows it's a courtesy to perform to the home side... and that's all it is: a courtesy (not mandatory).
Liddell cares about playing to a visitors' crowd about as much as SU cares about holding seats at Mumford.

I agree and somebody needs to send her to public speaking class...she acted like a nervous first grader being interviewed by Barney....all quiet...girl OPEN YO' MOUF!!

Never thought I'd agree with the Corn but I'm afraid you're right. Dr. Liddell(band director) SUCKS!! The Boom's sound is GREAT....but the field shows.....same ol' same ol'. He's an ol' school director....arrogant and caught up in HIS ways.....he better realize that it's not about HIM. He's a pompus IDIOT.
 
Now don?t get me wrong, I am an Alcornite through and through, but I?m on the female?s side on this one. Females catch enough hell in a SWAC band especially if they play tuba, drums, or any brass instrument so; TSU and others needs to STOP. All ya?ll haters need to get off JSU female Drum Major. Don?t get mad because she?s putting down harder than YOURS. The female Drum Major before her didn?t always have her hair pinned up and she put it down for real, so find something else wrong with the Boom to talk about, and believe me it?s something.

You only need 2 at most....................3 for show.

I think its a pissing contest between directors. Somewhere along the line, one of the band didn't play to the home side and the other followed suit the next year. I dont think Tenn. State plays to the home side when JSU is the home team.
