I Remember - George Duke
I Think It's Love - Jermaine Jackson
Dancin Free - Brothers Johnson
Sunday Morning - Earth wind & Fire

Believe in me is by BeBe and CeCe winans if im not mistaken
It was arranged fall 96 by Mr. Jackson

Here is my stab at them:

-Never Satisfied: this is bothering me because I know I know it, but it isn't coming to me

-Love Thang: The title looks familiar, but I can't think of how it goes. If I do, I'll sign back on and post it.

-Call Him Up: (Whew this goes way way way back...) I'm thinking this is Tramaine Hawkins.

-I Remember: George Duke

-That's The Way I Like It: KC and the Sunshine Band

-I Think It's Love: Jermaine Jackson (broke out on the ass whippin' we put on FAMU for halftime in 1986 in the L Drill)

-Sunday Morning: EWF

-Dancing Free: The Brothers' Johnson (Man I use to love this song, espeically the beginning)

Hope this helps...

OK OK!!! We getting some where. But again, that is not the same That's the way I like it. Not the KC and Sunshine version. I've heard both versions before. I just can't remember who sings the other one. But hey, Keep'em coming.

Believe in me: by The Winans

That's The Way I Like It: by Dino (the song is called I Like it)

Love Thang: by CeCe Peniston

if you need some more names holla at me/i have pretty much every song southern every played since the middle 80's

Hold on. Check this out.
-"I Think It's Love" is Jermaine Jackson

-"Sunday Morning" is EWF

-"Call Him Up" is not Mississippi Mass; unless they have 2 of them. They do have a part one and two to this song. But I don't think they have a totally different version. Tramaine Hawkins sings a song called "Call Me". Not call him up.

-"Dancin' Free" and "I Remember"? Question? is this the real title for these songs?

-"Believe in Me", "Love Thang", "Never Satisfied"; Still can't find. Believe in me I don't think is Bebe and Cece.
aight

Like Cutthroat said, "Believe In Me" is by The Winans(the brothers of Bebe and Cece). Also, "Love Thang" is by Cece Peniston.

"Never Satisfied" is by "Good 2 Go". I think them girls was white come to think of it.

"I Remember" like Hud said is by George Duke. It's a jazz cut.
And "Dancing Free" is by the Brothers Johnson. I never could find it, tried to download it for the longest and never found the song. My old BD said it may have been The Brothers Johnson or The Dazz Band. It never came up when i tried both of those groups.

Aight. I got'em now; most of'em.
-I Remember(actually called "History")- George Duke
-Love Thang- Cece Peniston( back in the Kid n Play days!)
-Believe In Me- The Winans
-Call Him Up- Still no findings.
-Dancin Free- I think is Brothers Johnson but I still haven't found it yet also.
Never Satisfied- No findings of Good 2 G0.

I'm still trying though. Thanks for all the help from yall.

Call Him Up- Alicia and the Mississippi Mass Choir

Nooo, not this one. My cousin hadn't formed Mississippi Mass when the Jukebox started taking Mumford Stadium to church. This came out around the time of the Clark Sister's "You Brought The Sunshine". Man, we use to have some church at halftime.

Peace...

Yeah, CeCe... I don't own that one, but I do remember the cut. Somewhat of a one hit wonder...

Call Him Up is OLD (early '80's)

I know remember the Call Him Up that the Alcornite was referring to. That isn't the song the Juke has been blowing for YEARS. I'm pretty sure it is Tramaine Hawkins or the Hawkins Sisters (lead by Tamaine) or something. If you are looking for these on the internet, you may not find them, since they are so old. I'll digg around in my collections and see if I can do a definite confirmation.

I stand corrected by one of my Psi Specials. "Call Him Up" is by Keith Pringle's 1981 "True Victory" album. You may have to go to a record store that sells old gospel tapes/album to find it, since that is practically 24 years ago.

Just the way I like it was in the 80s if I am not mistaken. We played it in 84 -85 time frame and the artist was the SOS Band.......Mary Davis lead singer.

"You Brought the Sunshine" is my shat... That was like 82ish I believe...

I had heard the original Please Believe In Me before I heard SU play it. And Jackson did a helluva job on that arrangement. Sounds almost just like the record (minus a few parts that I wish he would have put in there).

Thanks for the name on that CeCe Penniston tune. I knew the tune was by her, but I couldn't think of the name of it to save my life. I remember hearing Never Satisfied on the radio in the barber shop when I was younger (after I heard SU play it) and I was tripping...Got it on CD now.

Question for SU folks....What happened to Lovely Thing by Kut Klose? I used to love hearing y'all play that.

Believe in Me - The Winans
Never Satisfied - Good 2 Go
Call Him Up - Florida Mass Choir (classic!! my church choir sings it and I got the sheet music)
Love Thang - CeCe Peniston :jump:

Isn't Sunday Morning the one Mr. Knighten wrote in '93? That one was not the same one that was by EWF. I wanna say it was 2 The Xtreme that wrote the one in '93.

S phi....Lovely Thang got retired....and it's about time! :vomit:
