First it was popcorn thrown at Russ and now a water bottle thrown at Kyrie


Kyrie’s pops played at Northeastern and tried out for the Celtics. I think one of his sisters played at Boston U and Kyrie himself spent time in Boston working out as a young player.

The personal ties to the city just add another layer to that dumb fan throwing the bottle at him.
 



Notice the soft sell of the water bottle throwing by the commentator. Unfortunately my butt. If Kyrie puts his foot in his behind then Kyrie would be the bad guy. They need to start suing these mofos and filing criminal charges. Taking away season passes are not enough. They need to do jail time.

Now, racism like he indicated after the game can be blanketed by provocation by those looking for excuses to excuse the mentality that allows certain men to throw water bottles. You can put your money on it the guy who threw the water bottle was the one nobody would choose for pick up games in the neighborhood. I blame a lot of this mess on a whole era of sports shock jocks for creating a sentiment among low I.Q. listeners and followers that it's okay to be disrespectul and treat a man less than human if he is a professional athlete and you paid the price of a ticket.

No, what I’m speaking to is about being on code at all times. We have to understand that we are fighting on two fronts. We are fighting against a distorted caricature of ourselves while fighting who they actually are. It’s harder to win when we are having to defend our actions while at the same time holding theirs to the light. The Jason Whitlock’s and his ilk of the world are allowed to thrive pointing out these things. We must wear our Sunday suits at all times regardless of how unfair it is to not allow for distractions from the cause.

Respectability has never worked for Black people as a means of protection because "they" simply don't care whether you're "on code."

Jason Whitlock is only allowed to thrive because he supports white supremacist/white nationalist ideology, period.

Bruh, I got hit with a water bottle in the superdome that fans were throwing at James Bell after our 04 game against SU. I understand more than most when fans cross the line.

Still, Kyrie went looking for this reaction and he got it. I ain't saying it was right but when you go looking for smoke, you will find it.
