Female strength and conditioning coach making history

So if this was a man with the same credentials, would ya'll really be questioning if she could spot people and saying that she might be good with aerobics and fitness? I know you have heard of female body builders. Men aren't the only ones that can display strength. It is all about mentally strong and having good technique.

I know yall don't think that lil dude at Alabama is able to lift and spot all the weight their linemen are lifting? She will be fine if she knows her stuff.

Objective?

Your support of her is simply due to the fact that she's female.

I've seen none of the men reject her because she's female. We just want to be sure that she can do the job.

What would be your concerns about her not being able to do the job?

I never said she wouldn't be able to do the job.

I only questioned what proof did people have that it was a "good hire". One what basis is she a good hire? Some folks are saying that just because she's female. Others are saying it just because she was hired at Southern. I seriously doubt anyone has any hard data or empirical evidence showing that she's a good hire.

Now, she may turn out to be an excellent hire. I hope so. I just don't believe she's been on the job long enough to show that yet.

I judging her on results. She has been at SU since early this semester.

She might be the best SandC coach in the world, but that ain't why SU hired her. SU really needs to stop this foolishness. This is 2012 and y'all are still caught up in the past. Get over it.

He looks like his mind is somewhere else
LOL!!!! That dude's mind is in the clouds.

I know you cant really tell much from a still picture, but that dude looks like he is looking at the McDonalds add. SUs linemen were the sorriest Linemen I have ever seen, yet these SU folks think they are going to be decent this year eventhough they didnt recruit any linemen. With no offensive linemen, no defensive linemen, no LaQuinten Evans, and no other decent talent, SU might go 0-11 this year. Lets cross our fingers.

My only concern is will guys really respect a female strength and condition coach. Maybe so, maybe not. Like I said, she looks like a bad azz but we know that the weightroom is a man's world.

Careful guys...what you wish for others may come back to you!

Hey, JagtillIdie said she is good, I just want to know on what basis. When I got to JSU, we had a white S and C Coach who walked around screaming all the time but didn't have any results. His workouts were not good at all. I workout much harder and more efficient in my post football life.

Hey, I asked the same thing.

I know a great S&C coach and a terrible one. The difference is in how they can get the kids to perform. Results.

I don't think some people understand what makes a "good" S&C coach.

I hope she's great. Outstanding. We'll see.

Wasn't this a movie...this team won, and they also did aerobics

SU strength is in it's Fingers

When Southern football players got a first look at their new strength and conditioning coach this spring, most opinions ranged from doubtful to incredulous.

They’d heard Corliss Fingers might be joining the team, but now it was real.

The person in charge of getting them physically ready for another season and helping them chase the dream of a pro career would be … a she?

Re: SU strength is in it's Fingers

Interesting.

Someone who actually knows how to organize and operate a strength and conditioning program.

What I found really interesting is Stump admitting that, at one time, there was no strength and conditioning program.

Wish her the best. We'll see.
