And for ALL YALL BROKE BLACK FOLKS that's claimimg how much money your school is making off this backwoods bullisht, then riddle me this. Why Yall broke ass schools is STILL struggling with their athletic budgets? Why some of YALL STILL had to cut some sports programs? This isn't adding up. All this money yall making, but yet YALL athletics are looking like:

And my comment about JSU in 95 and 96 is not about the outcome, it is moreso about always having to travel. In 96, JSU had only 1 loss and was highly ranked, but had to travel. Same as GSU back in 89.

Ok, if you don't want to travel, then win some of the money games or atleast schedule some decent comp at the beginning of the season that you can win and get the chance to host a playoff game. Some schools in the MEAC hosted some playoff games, why not us?

But our AD's (in the early 2000's) were lazy and couldn't fill a schedule. So, teams were playing games that wouldn't count in the standings and so many ppl got confused as to which game was a conference game.

And today, it is still difficult field a complete schedule w/out having a pansy or being a pansy on your schedule.

And that is where the problem lies because the ADs and mostly the presidents now are still lazy. The president do not want to give up the little bit of kick back that they receive from the SCG and the ADs in the SWAC are too lazy to do anything beyond what has been done for years. Truth is it isnt as hard as we make it out to be to field a full schedule season but when you wait til th last minute to do schedule teams of course it can become difficult...And Southern and Grambling has nothing to do with the SWAC and the playoffs we all just have lazy good for nothing presidents and a weak minded commissioner who believes in this food stamp system we have now...

And are you guys @#$$!@$# or something???? Who cares how many games J-State or Alcorn has lost in the playoffs???? The BC was played on the same day back then!!!!!! The SWAC going to the playoffs has nothing to do with the BC but EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE SCG!!!!!!!! Like my previous post, how are you guys going to get rid of the SCG?????

Dude, it takes ALL of us to make this move. You all already said that the puppet "SWAC commish" is controlled by the puppet masters "school presidents". Well, let's pressure the presidents to rescind the SCG, push the BC back and "WE ALL" compete in the playoffs. Well, except BAMA St.

True, I dont have the answer to that.

The SCG simply makes sense for the SWAC. We were working on a scenerio at the beginning of the season that COULD have put a SWAC team in the playoffs. Alabama State and Alcorn were BOTH hot and looked to be top FCS teams. Had Barlow not flopped, lost a close one to Alcorn and ended up 10-2, BAMA State might have got playoff consideration. I still don't understand the hype around one playoff game. Each school had THREE chances to to play OOC games last year and we choose schools like Lynchburg, Stilman, Louisiana College, Texas College, etc... THAT is what we need to be complaining about. 30-40 strong OOC games is much better than a one and done playoff game. :noidea:

under the old format Southern would have been named the SWAC Champs...but anyone with football sense can see how stupid it is to play 9 SWAC opponents just to play them in the SCG over again... lets not be prisoners of the moment...

The players, coaches, bands, etc love the experience of playing in the SCG. That's the main thing that matters.

Yeah, some ADs had trouble finding 4-5 OOC games but that's reality still (PV only played 10 games this season).

To me, the SCG is the only thing that brings life to the SWAC! ..especially being in Houston. No other 1-AA conference could come close to pulling this off!

That's the main thing, huh? That the players and coaches love beating up on each other after beating up on them once before during the season? The band (who thinks EVERYBODY comes to a "football" game to see them dry hump the ground) plays the same song that you heard all year long from 9 other SWAC bands enjoy their time and experience? That's the main thing that matters, huh? UHHHH......ok.

Typical black folks.

So you're saying the players and coaches don't matter in this huh?

This is truly something else. Some black people fought for affirmative action to be able to compete for certain positions, jobs, etc..only for these backwoods black folks to tuck their tails and say we're find just staying in our small minded worlds.

Hell, if yall don't want to go to the playoffs, then ask the conference to send someone else. It's just that easy. I don't see why the conference has to hogtie the whole conference. Why can't we have an automatic bid like the MEAC?

Either this baby need a diaper change or a bottle.

Exactly. Don't feed the trolls

Bringing it back to the topic, as someone said earlier, I also don't want to see Southern packed out Mcneese's stadium for a playoff game and they get all the benefits of said home game. The other FCS conferences want what we got (playing in front of 50-70K people) and some of us want what they have but financially it doesn't make any sense.

Let's move the Bayou Classic to Lorman every other year and move it up a week to make the jsu posters happy. :emlaugh: Let's also terminate the SCG, damn playing in Reliant! If we're going to keep the SCG let's move it to Itta Bena. :emlaugh:

Smartest thing you've said since being on this board.

You still don't understand that one, do you?

But since the trolls can't keep this on topic and want to continue to make it about them......SMH
