FAMU to the SWAC?

. Morehouse would bring in the ATL market but with them being an all men school how would they get around Title 9? Would the NCAA allow them to use Spellman as their women's teams? And didn't Spellmen stop playing sports not so long ago?

Morehouse will remain D2 and in the SIAC. That is not changing. We would be a LITTLE fish in a BIG pond trying to compete in the SWAC. Wish it was different, but, it ain't! o_O
Spelman College was competing in D3 sports and yes, they eliminated sports LAST year.

See this. Some schools know their place and they're happy to stay there. Good for you all JT. I wish some SWAC schools knEW their places and go back there and stay.

I know. I was just using them as an example. No need to go broke by not living within your means in terms of athletes.

Divisions don't have to be 100% geographically correct.

We don't even need to go with a geographic division format. We could do like the ACC has with it's Atlantic and Coastal division format. Something like this.

Eddie Robinson Division

Grambling
Texas Southern
UAPB
FAMU
Alcorn
Bama State

Walter Payton Division

JSU
Southern
Tennessee State or Bethune-Cookman
Bama A&M
PV
Valley

Permanent cross division rivalries

Tex So-PV
Bama St-Bama A&M
Tenn St/BCC-FAMU
UAPB-Valley
JSU-Alcorn
GSU-SU

Imagine the Bayou Classic or the Labor Day Classic or the Magic City Classic also being the SWAC Championship.

Not one lick of sense. I somewhat like the naming of the divisions but the teams are not sound.

Folks are trying to reinvent the wheel when all you have to do is slide Alcorn to the West if a 12th team is added
Or Jackson State so they would get all 3 of their big SWAC games every year. I don't know what's going on with the rest of those ideas. lol

If that happens cool. All I'm saying let's not limit the divisions to be created based strictly on geography. Let's create the best match-ups.

Like the Repubikkkan Party, some folks like throwing stuff up against a wall, just to try to see what will stick.

Man, keep famu where they at. We don't need them. Their BOT is corrupt and doing ALOT of foolish things right now. They're almost as corrupt as BAMA St's board.

WE DONT NEED THAT KIND OF HEAT AROUND HERE!!! DONT COME AROUND HERE BRING'N THAT HEAT!!!

Wonder why all jSU folks are against Famu coming to the Swac.
Dude, do you not understand that those people have problems going on? We have enough dysfunctional institutions having fish frys to raise money for their programs already in this backwoods conference. We don't need another one.

Here are some articles:

FAMU's ATL's chapter president is really upset behind this decision. He thinks that they (FAMU) is turning their backs on other minorities or basically turning down money.

Smh, you can found negative articles about every school in the Swac if you look hard enough.

My point EXACTLY!!!! Why bring another dysfunctional school in this backwoods conference?

And before you start with this ""negative" stuff. Look to see if this is facts or fiction..

Or, Blackbengal, JSU can leave the SWAC since it's so backwoods and dysfunctional...

Besides you don't know what us Rattlers know or discuss...so it is what it is

Sorry, but I know EVERYTHING about you guys. The truth hurts and it is what it is. You guys needs to get your act together.

Thanks blue. Maybe he'll remember that. They need to stay where they at. We don't need anymore behind the times schools in this place.
