FAMU Marching 100 to return to the Field

Not sure about FAMU but not all band students receive scholarship for participating in the band. Snd that was going to be my next point (even though 2.5 is low for a scholarship) but if the university is asking all of this from the band students (time for practices, time for performances, extra performances like parades, etc.) and now maintaining a gpa...then ALL band students should be some sort of stipend.

Just like all athletes don't receive scholarships. So why should they get a stipend again?

In reference to the student body the culture is embraced. There were idiots defending the "process" of bus c. there were (and still are) idiots on both twitter and facebook as if they got away with something. If you believe that ANYTHING has changed you are delusional.

Man you are funny. As if A&M doesn't have a culture of hazing. Folks are getting hazed in SGA "Student Goverment Association aka Sigma Gamma Alpha-Alpha Chapter". Everyone on here with a holier than thou perspective needs to have seat.

That's a damn shame. It shows the slave mentality is deeply entrenched in the Black community. Nobody with any sense would admit to being hazed to be a part of SGA. :shame:

Damn, I hate these slaves with a passion .... :smh:

Curious as to which organizations you joined and whether there was ever a history of hazing in those orgs.

Well I joined a dance group and played baseball briefly during my freshman year...also joined random student groups such as the Big Ben Area Club and the Strike Team...and the funniest thing was that people always assumed we hazed and we never did LOL

That's why I laugh when people say "culture of hazing"...because I was apart of the student lifestyle and saw everything up close and personal. Yes hazing was happening in certain groups on campus(as it does everywhere) but it wasn't the widespread sh*t that the media and certasin haters tried to make it out to be.

I'm just glad to see the 100 back. I hope the hazing at all of our institutions is cut out. I don't consider making a crab carry your books to class or giving his or her rain coat up to you or your girlfriend on a rainy day hazing. But putting your hands on someone and hitting them with boards and bats, etc. is way out of line. That's where I stand on the situation. When it becomes assault than it becomes hazing and then it becomes criminal and should be handled as such.
