Florida A&M University head coach Willie Simmons has replaced a missing piece to his football staff with Chris Klenakis.

The former Louisville assistant is joining the FAMU staff as offensive line coach and run game coordinator. Simmons confirmed the news to HBCU Gameday after it was reported on Football Scoop."

The pistol offense is crap. That whole spread shotgun read-option bs has damn near ruined football at every level down to the youth level. I hated seeing all our schools jump on that bandwagon, and I’m anxious to see which of our schools will be the first to jump off.
 
That offense showcases a quarterback ability to run but also exposes them if they are not as good of a passer.

things are cyclical. It’s going to take a rash of QBs getting hurt to move away from it
 
Yall are talking scheme. I'm talking minds. Knowing the game well enough to be able to create something that becomes a staple in a sport with the history of football says something about the type of mind he has. Having an innovator on your staff could be priceless.
