The recalled TD was just a bad play on your behalf. The fumble that Mathis ran into the endzone was a good play by our defense. The failure to try for the field goal was a coaching decision. I am not saying it was a bad decision: I am saying that I think Cylar had the ability to make it.

Actually, I don't think Jones is really that good of a coach. I know its very early to tell but the man is really liviing off of Mathis, Ware and the DC. We will see how well he does after 4 years. I am predicting that this will be his best year.

If Jones cant do a better job next year than he did Sat, Im inclined to agree with TP. He was severely outcoached by JSU and didnt make one strategic call all day. Punting the ball away with no timeouts left and 1:30 left on the clock was surely one of the dumbest things I have ever witnessed at a football game ever.

With no talent on offense, and all of the playmakers leaving on defense, A&M is destined for destruction. You guys might want to start your new coach search now.

Coach Anthony Jones has a team that was predicted to finish next to bottom in the east LEADING that division. Whatever dude....I can assure you that Mathis is in the worldpool right now because of that ass whipping he took. Man Mathis was backing that thang up like he was in a Juvenile video. They smoked Mathis. Did you hear from Mathis after the first series? Hell no.

Mathis came out of Saturday's game injury free, dude. I'll bet Kent is somewhere getting a massage or an epsom salts bath.

Your alleged "high powered" offense scored 13 points, so you can chill with all that isht your spewin'! Yards don't mean isht! How many times has your team run up yards, only to lose? Does Jock teach a class on buffoonery over there at j-sue?

I'll give it to you TP. You are always thinking ahead. What you want is for us to fire Jones so JSU can pick him up when Hughes is fired. No way that will happen.

JSU can go ahead and hire Comegy. Then Jones can kick Comegy's tail like he did when he was at Morehouse. At least, however, Comegy will keep JSU competitive with A&M and Bama State. Heck, he might even win one or two from the BumbleBees.

No body in the SWAC will be able to recruit like Jones, except Doug. Doug and Jones are the only two coaches in the league with Super Bowl rings. Who do you think the good kids will want to play for? They will want to be around someone who has been where they want to go. You better be glad you beat Jones this year because you even come close in two to three years.

You my friend are totally mistaken here. Kent got sacked 3 times in the first half. After that, you didnt touch Kent. Mathis was the one picking himself up off the ground play after play after play as big Albert Stinson kept driving his ass into the ground. What did Mathis do after the first quarter? NOthing.....all that kid could do was concentrate on which method to use to get up off the ground. He was getting drilled. I actually started feeling sorry for him. I know he thought this was going to be a big game for him....but....oh well.

All of those times when Counselor was running for those big yards off tackle, he was running on Mathis' side. Mathis was 10 yards down field with his face in the turf. Now do you want to talk about who is in the whirlpool right now?

All of this noise should be on the smack board! You JSU people don't think for 1 SECOND that ANY of your defensive players can hold a candle to ANY member of AAMU's defense! Wishing is good, but save that for the smack board! Our defense is held to a double standard because of the fits a D2 DC gives the SWAC! The great defensive players for AAMU will not stop, nor did they begin, with Mathis and Ware!

Coach Jones was chosen to devlop an offense and with the benefit of a full recruiting class, he will be able to get the players he needs to run his system. I think we are in very good shape.

The RECORDS and STANDINGS show that AAMU IS THE BEST IN THE EAST!!! :cool:

Do you actually think that a top recruit will play for Hughes instead of Jones? Wait until it is clear that Jones and Hughes are recruiting the same kid. That will tell the story. Heck, if Kent could do it all over again, he would come to AAMU just to be coached by a Super Bowl winner.

I think I know why they punted!!!

They knew that this would advance the football downfield in a hurry and put their best offense (their defense) back on the field.

They knew that there was no way in h3ll that their atari offense could go 90 yards in 90 secs. Heck, their offense barely had 90 yards all day! So, even with no timeouts, they felt that they had a better chance of their overrated blitz getting to get and forcing a a turnover before he could........ -----------> kneel down.
