Ex-Georgia RB Crowell keeps sights on NFL dream

TP, do I need to post the highlights of the GA Tech vs MTSU game from last year?

Crowell will get a shot based off of what he has done his 1 season in SEC, not for his body of work thus far...

That is my point. Pretty much all big name transfers get a shot based off that. Scott Morris ran a 4.8-4.9 and got a tryout because of who his brother was.

Can you imagine how much they would love that kid if he had transferred from Alabama instead of Georgia.
Man..they would be throwing rose pedals at his feet.

He will have average numbers as long as his coach/QB plays keep-away from him. Jennings is gone so maybe the new QBs won't keep the ball on the read as much.

He'll get 15 carries a game and more passes thrown his way. We have other quality RBs ready to go as many of you should know. Crowell is not a 20 plus carries type back. BTW, he does not want to carry it 20 times a game. The coaches never removed him from a game last year. He took himself out. He's prepared well for the upcoming season and has adjusted to his environs and has been accepted by his teammates.

We will be running some pistol as well as zone read, depending on who's at QB.

Crowell and Cyrus are similar to the JSU tandem of Sims and Gooden.

Dahill, he is not an A&M type power back that looks for contact but is very effective in what he does.

Travis Ward from TennState had almost 1500 yards last year and didnt get drafted from an HBCU. The NFL is not going to draft anyone with a criminal history from an HBCU with a criminal history like Crimewell. AaronHernandez messed that up for the rest of the college players who have questionable past. I wish the kid the best, but like 99 said, his numbers shows that he is average at best and he has a criminal history

Dude...why do you keep contradicting yourself

First you say he is going to have a big year...now they dont pay attention to stats

First you say the stadium is going to be a multipurpose facility...then its just for football

Yall gets mad when folks dont slobber all over Crimewell like you do. You still havent refuted
anything 99 said...but oh well

damn I kinda gave u a lil more credit than I should've. I do expect Crowell to have a big year, but do u really think the nfl give a crap bout stats here. Ask Casey if they do. :smh:

This ain't about Casey, this about that overrated runningback who didn't do jack against Mighty JSU.
Hey MH, according to your boy, he KEPT asking to come out of the JSU game. LOL!! The Darkside dogged his ass so bad that day they made him ask coach to take him out.

Dude think/read before you type stuff. The kid was the number #1 running back recruit coming out of high school. He then proceeded to START, and lead UGA in rushing AS A FRESHMAN, so I would think he has shown it. Let's use some common sense here.

Devil's Gun, at least you are being sensible about it. Don't worry, JSU is going to pack the house just to watch and see what type of havoc he's going to put on them.

Since when has the nfl drafted anybody based on their stats in the swac? Is that why Casey didnt get drafted?

MH, Casey didn't get drafted, because Bama State stole the ball from him for two straight years. We probably intercepted his azz 8-10 times over those two years. :emlaugh:

:emlaugh:

You'd do better trying to have a conversation with a rock.... :emlaugh:

I give up! They are destroying the sports board and think it's funny. SHAME SHAME (thx Goober Pyles)

Yes the NFL does care about stats. if Crimewell has 500 yards this year do you think the NFL will look crosseyed at him?

Casey could have thrown for a million yards and a 1000 TDs and he still would not have been selected by the NFL. Tavaris Jackson was so pityful and sorry there is noway a SWAC QB will be considered for the NFL anytime soon. If he wasnt the biggest punchline in the league maybe Casey would have gotten a fair look.

Im pulling for the brother. I hope he does well except week 2...he is facing an uphill battle with troubled past and playing in the SWAC. Good luck

As usual you make no sense at all. T-Jack is sorry but he's been in the NFL for 8 years? Casey wasn't that good like you thought he was.

In no way am I blind about how good Casey was as a pro prospect. He was small, threw side armed, and depended too much on arm strength instead of fundamentals. NFL teams arent going to pacify QBs from HBCUs like that. But you also have to admit that as a 2nd round draft pick TJack was a poor choice, turned into a laughing stock, and eventually got the coach who chose him fired. TJack was a joke in the NFL for a long time. When he got choke slammed against the Eagles he should have quit then. But to his credit he kept getting up, kept embarrassing himself, and kept getting slammed. His failure cut off the rope for any SWAC QB for a long time. Steve paved the way for him but he blew up the road behind him.
