I hope he does not quit on the way back home from Pine Bluff.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Former Georgia tailback Isaiah Crowell's dream of playing in the NFL is still very much alive.
The 2011 SEC freshman of the year said he has put his off-field troubles behind him and is now comfortable at Alabama State.
However, his allegiance to the team where he briefly starred hasn't changed since his dismissal from the Bulldogs in June 2012 following an arrest on felony weapons charges. Crowell said he's still friends with ex-teammates, including his backfield successors Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall, and has high hopes for the fifth-ranked Bulldogs — and for his own Football Championship Subdivision Hornets.

After you all finish reading about Crowell, you can click the GaTech link and read all about our "improved" defense. If the defense improves, that triple option will have more chances to get big yards and put points on the board. But please, read about Crowell, first. :D

stop trying to use Crowell to get people to read bout lowly tech. :smh::lol:

I think Crowell will have a really good year.

I don't want people to be bored. That Crowell article was actually kinda boring. Tech news is much more exciting. Watch how we exceed ALL expectations this year. (Po AAMU)

can't compete with the big boys, so take out your frustrations on A&M and Elon. :smh:
sad and smalltime

btw, big bad Middle Tn State sends their regards. :wavey:

still LMAO@that beatdown!
:lmao::lmao:

Middle TNState lost the series vs Tech 2-1.. so they ain't sending nothing.

I think Crowell will have a really good year.

Just asking, What would constitute a really good year in your opinion? I'm thinking he'll need 1600 or more to get noticed. That's a pretty big jump - he'll have to almost double his carries. Hard to do.

MH, a D2 schools owns your school. Remember smack rule #1. ..and who won the last GaTech-Auburn series? Thought so.
no need to divert.

but then again, the way big bad Mid Tn State had their way with lowly tech, I see why you wanna divert. :smh:

btw, word is that tech ran from mid tn state this year. Please confirm.

We had a 3 year series with them. It ended. They can get back in line to play us if they want. ..and please don't avoid 99's question.

99,
Crowell has the size, speed and is already known. He won't "need 1600 yards to get noticed". And he won't need to run for a gazillion yards. He's already a pro prospect.

Ok i get the part about him being a pro-prospect. But you said he'd have a really good year. So what is that exactly? Raoul said 1300 for the year. We have 2 running backs capable of getting that, but it's better for the TEAM that our top 2 backs share carries and stay fresh throughout the year. Crowell may not be used to a heavy work-load.

I expect Crowell to have a really good year. Just like I expect ASU to have a really good year. What's hard to understand about my optimism? I can't tell you how many yards he'll rush for, or exactly how many TDs he'll have, but I expect more him to be very effective in leading ASU to the title.

now, please explain why you say Crowell needs to get 1600 yards to get noticed.

Why does this dude try to force GT to be relevant? As long as they're running that Georgia Southern offense over there they aren't going to be worth a damn.

You didnt think you were going to get him to actually back up some of his nonsense did you?

When I said notice, I didn't mean just for NFL scouts. I meant those national honors, all-american, Payton award candidate, SWAC POY, etc. He'll definitely need some eye-popping numbers to get notice in those circles, SWAC POY being the exception. My thing is he'll only get that if yall force feed him the ball, which may or may not be the smart thing to do. Having your top RB carry the ball much more than he's accustomed to may not be the best thing for your teams success.

You do know that our coach is the one who brought that Georgia Southern offense to Georgia Southern, right? ...and things are only about to get better on the Flats. We finally have the right group of coaches and the right athletes. We gonna show you who ain't worth a dayum.

oh ok. I didn't see where there was a big push for Crowell for those awards. I took the article to be about his dream of getting to the NFL, not his dream of being FCS all-american.

to be fair, bama state seems to be pushing him for national player of the year. there's a banner on the website. 1600 yds and 20 td seems reasonable. if they do what they're supposed to do he'll be a workhorse and they'll play action people to death.
