The Clown Prince of Crime
Being a SWAC Alumni, I'm sure when many of you think of the Washington Redskins, the first thought that comes to mind is current Grambling State Head Coach Doug Williams being the first African-American Quarterback to win the SuperBowl. However, if you have never lived or visited the DMV (DMV meaning "DC-Maryland-Virginia") you would be surprised to learn that Dallas Cowboys Fans OUTNUMBER Washington Redskin Fans in Washington, DC. Would you be even more shocked to know that when the Cowboys play in FedEx Field, it is usually a home game for the Cowboys?

However, many of you probably be surprised to know that to some, the Cowboys vs. Redskins Rivalry is a more than just a rivalry game. To Many in the DMV Area, It is about remembering a racial stereotype back in the 60s. Look up the "Cowboy Chicken Club" to get the full history on why so many Cowboys Fans exist in the DMV Area and why some African-American DMV Cowboys Fans consider Doug somewhat of a "sell-out". Pretty interesting history to say the least.

# HOP Having been to several Dallas vs. Redskins game at FEDEX and there is no way that there are more Cowboys Fans than Redskins Fans at that Park. Yes, there are a lot of Cowboys fans here in the DMV but they will not outnumber the Skins' fan for this game. However, two years ago, there were more Steelers' Fans at a game than Redskins because it is not a rivalry as it is with the Cowboys. I would bet you that there are more Steelers Fans than Cowboys here and there are several Steelers Sports Bars throughout the DMV.

I actually see a lot of Cowboys/Steeler/Eagles fans. I would expect to see more Redskins than Cowboys fans at FedEx. Ravens are deep in the area also. I work about 3 miles from FedEx. The fans park in the parking lot where I work for games and take the shuttle to the games.

I currently live in the DMV.Silver Spring,MD to be exact and it's more redskin fans than cowboy fans.it may seem like that now because cowboys winning and redskins are not.Wait til win the skins get good again.you will see the difference

Some years ago I lived in Manassas, VA for 4 years. I never saw a Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Cardinals, Saints, Rams, Bucs, Patriots, or Falcons fan. I saw a rare Colts fan, a few Jets fans, and a few more Raiders fans. That's it. Anyone bearing jersey of another NFC East team would have been taking his life in his own hands.

You must be a hermit.

Straight for the jugular again, huh Solo?

Just calling a spade a spade. I've lived here since September 1971; was a Cowboys fan before I arrived and didn't see any reason to change after getting here. I know native Washingtonians who are fans of teams other than the Redskins and that include NFC East teams.
