ESPN2 Top Five HBCU Marching Bands

Yeah he says "The Marching Marooooon and White band of Alabama A * M University, also known as the Showband of the South". During the dance routine Lemonhead tells the crowd to "come on and ride on the Freeway of Funk".

How did the Marching 100 make the list. That name makes no sense at all. The Marching 101 is clever and a much better name but not better than The Sounds of Dynamite! Why is the Spartan Legion Mentioned? Aside from the Marching 101....all MEAC band names suck! The only decent names period are:

Sonic BOOM
Human Jukebox
Sounds of Dynamite
Ocean of Soul

Aristocrat of Bands? :confused: Different but still :noidea:

The 100 represents a milestone during Dr. Foster band days. It does represent because FAMU paved the way for what a bunch of HBCU bands do. Also the 100 will always be a top band. Their sound and quality is hard to match.

Well whatever 100 means, we don't know it and sounds kinda corny. Marching 101 is much better....tho not fantastic.

Those are kick ass names. If AAMU were to adopt that Freeway of Funk, I can get with that. That's just "Funky". If Norfolk was the Legion of Doom or something, instead of just Legion, that would bad ass, too.
