The Undefeated is a ESPN ran entity that provides quality content on HBCU sports and culture and today they announced they'll be ranking bands from the SWAC and MEAC and announcing a HBCU band of the year and band competition in conjunction with the Celebration Bowl. We all know bands play a big part of the culture at SWAC schools so this is pretty interesting and exciting.

Most expectations for top three: 1) SU Human Jukebox 2) JSU Sonic Boom 3) NCAT B&G Marching Machine

I think the Ocean of Soul will be in the top 10, hopefully top three.

You might be surprised. It all depends on the directors that they ask to do the rankings. We all know the MEAC hates everything about SWAC bands. Then you have about 3 SWAC Bands that probably would vote along with the MEAC. Don't be surprised if the top 3 are FAMU, BCU, and PV.

Bethune-Cookman takes No. 1 spot

Well this one actually used music educators to rank the bands instead of the opinions of someone that may or may not have a musical background. Plus they ranked other categories as well. That is what makes this one kind of unique.

Bethune-Cookman University’s Marching Wildcats have reclaimed the top spot in the third ESPN/The Undefeated HBCU Band Rankings. The Wildcats were the top band in the first rankings of the season in October before being nudged out of the top spot by North Carolina A&T State University.

The Blue and Gold Marching Machine is now No. 3, right behind Prairie View A&M University.

It simply needs to be a SWAC BOTB's and a MEAC BOTB's and take the top 5 from each conference to battle it out on the field and stands which judges that are not affiliated with either school. I'm sure if done right sponsors will jump on board. Host the SWAC BOTB's in either Jackson or New Orleans and the MEAC in either North Carolina or Virginia. All locations centralized.

Congratulations to PV's Black Foxes on being selected the #1 Dance Team.

As predicted, the Jukes prevail. Nobody has mentioned the Boom since the boomBOX Classic. Go figure. Small town . Lynch Street lies. Theifs.
