Eagles vs Cardinals

Cardinals 21
Eagles 6

3:06 2nd Q

Ok, and who was the hater that said Dawkins would sandwich Fitz?

Doubt it.
Fitzgerld will be doubled teamed all game.
If the ball even look like it's comming his way, his arse is grass against the Eagles.

Carolina is the dumbest team in the NFL after last week.
Out of all the receiver's Arizona has, one thing is for damm sure if I coached a team, Fitzgerld will not be the reason Arizona beat's me.
Early Dussett or one of the other's, Bolden, is gonna have to prove they will be the one.
Fitzgerld won't get a chance to beat me.

Arizona put the clamp's down on Carolina's Smith and took the attitude that another receiver was going to have to be the big man that day.
Smith didn't catch a pass until the 3rd qtr was almost over and the game was out of hand.

Players what were u saying again?:)

Observation:

Besides D. Jackson who is a rookie and a smallish WR with speed. The Eagles do not have any WRs. Curtis is a short in space WR with speed. No wonder Donovan and Westbrook have to be all of the offense. What happened to Reggie Brown out of Georgia? He looked decent as a WR a couple of years ago when Philly took him.

Philly don't have enough playmakers on offense to sustain a whole year and playoff run. Too much is on 2 players.

Philly needs a bigger WR that can dominate. Even the TE position is so-so. LJ Smith used to look decent but he is on the bench.

Also looking at Philly's LB corp......they are average, just able to play in a good scheme with Jim Johnson as DC.

The blitz is killing Philly defense. Jim Johnson needs to change up. Warner is loving this.

Johnson is being stubborn. I am loving how the Arizona OC is calling this game.

Unless Philly blitzes their defense is suspect because they are so small up front. They can't put any pressure on the Qb with a 4 man rush due to their size on the DL. So if you have a Qb that can get rid of the ball on the blitz coverage then you can beat this defense.

Exactly. McNabb has never had a go to receiver (other than T.O.).

Philly did not have a go to receiver against the Vikings, but won. Did not have that guy against the Giants, but won that game as well. Arizona is just playing better right now.

Ok and?

What does that have to do with the fact that having a go to WR would improve Philly's chances of winning and take the burden off of McNabb and Westbrook?

What happened the year T.O. joined the team? They went to the Super Bowl.

1. A lot. The team that makes the most plays will win. Tom Brady did not play with an elite WR until Randy Moss came along last year, but yet won three Super Bowls.

2. T.O. did not play in the divisional game or the NFC Championship Game, but some how the Eagles advanced to the Super Bowl while he was recovering from a broken leg.

But they didn't dominate the Vikings like they would have if they had a big time WR. Westbrook had to be Westbrook in that game. Also TJack gave them a pick 6.

The Giants game the offense was okay. The defense won that game as well.

The guys on Sportscenter and Aikman have been saying the same thing I am.

This team is good but not as good as folks may think. Donovan has too much of a burden. So does a small rb in Westbrook.

They need to get a big WR, TE and a RB to help Westbrook. Beanie Wells may slip to teams drafting lower in the first round. He would be perfect with them. Don't know what WR they can get.

Uh oh Donovan just overthrew the Curtis cat and now fumbles. This is going to get ugly for him back in Philly. I hate that because they have set him up to fail with no weapons.

Troy Aikman and Joe Buck are making it too damn obvious they don't like McNabb. I mean damn, every freaking pass attempt is being critiqued.

Tom Brady had plenty of weapons. Those WRs may not be elite, but everybody on that team could catch. We are not saying Donovan needs an elite WR...but he needs more playmakers.

Brady had a decent TE as well. Kevin Faulk was a poor man's Westbrook just old now. So to compare Brady to McNabb weapons is not equal. Brady had plenty of them when he won those SBs.

1. Tom Brady had and still has a mastermind X's and O's head coach. Yeah that same coach that took a backup QB who hadn't taken a snap in an actual football game since his senior year in high school and made him look like a star. You can say what you want. Tom Brady's WR's in 2001 is a hell of a lot better than what McNabb has to work with (Terry Glenn, Troy Brown)

2. Duh!! I know T.O. didn't play in the divisional game or the NFC championship game but what was their record during the season? 13-3 and they didn't have to get into the playoffs on a prayer. With T.O. in the lineup McNabb threw for the highest completion rating and the most TD's in his career.

Since you're arguing for the sake of arguing I'll just sum it up for you. A go to WR vastly improves McNabb's chance to win.

Yeah Aikman does not like McNabb. Last week he said sometimes I don't know what goes threw his head when Donovan picked up the phone on the Giants sideline. I was like damn....tell us how you really feel. LOL. He pretty much let us all know he thinks Donovan is stupid.

yeah, my Eagles have lost this one...the Cardinals are having a magnificent game and are very entertaining. Even though my team is losing, I'm enjoying this game, big time.

Guess I've lost the bet.....;)

Aikman needs to go sit down somewhere. Nobody even remembers him.

Don't worry, my Steelers will represent Pennsylvania well in the next game. We gone get the brother coach to the bowl. Another Dungy protege.:D

Tom Brady played with a bunch of No. 2 and No. 3 WRs. Not until Moss came did he have a true No.1 Plus, Antwain Smith and an aging Cory Dillion were not exactly Barry Sanders or Emmitt Smith either.

People are talking about Philly needs big WRs, but Pittsburgh won the Super Bowl with little Hines Ward and Randall El.

Kevin Curtis and Jackson and Avant are not great, but are good receivers. Eagles just have to execute.

Hell the only reason he is the Hall of Fame is because he played on SB winning teams. He shole didn't have HOF Qb stats like other multiple SB winners such as Bradshaw, Montana, or Elway. He was accurate, and had a strong arm.....but to me he wasn't one of the NFL great Qbs. He never had to put the Boys on his shoulders to get them to those SB's.

Yep. Aikman had every weapon you could think of and he still wasn't great.

Didn't Bradshaw play with Lynn Swan and John Stallworth and with one of the greatest defenses in the history of the game?

Pittsburgh also had studs at Rb with Parker and the Bus. They ran the ball. Hines Ward plays big though. He aint a speed guy.

Again.....Brady had ALOT of weapons. You didn't see drops like Basket just did on Donovan with Brady WRs. Troy Brown was a play maker........Deion Branch was a playmaker in that system. They may have not been No 1 guys. But it was not all on Brady. A.Smith still ran well. So did Dillon. Nobody said you had to have superstars. You need folks to make plays. Those Philly WRs are suspect bottom line.
