Eagles release DeSean Jackson

Everyone wondered why I included NJ.com’s Eliot Shorr-Parks in the Field of 64. Certainly not as well known as some other local writers, Eliot just cranks out good work. Today is no different.

Eliot is reporting that twice since 2010, the LAPD has talked to DeSean Jackson about gang related murders. Jackson was not a suspect in either case, but one murder was by a Jaccpot (Jackson’s record label) rapper and the other took place at a house “owned or leased by a member of Jackson’s family.”

Sources told Eliot that the Eagles were concerned over Jackson missing meetings, his work ethic and chemistry with teammates. When they looked into those things, that’s when they discovered some troubling connections

They sign Sanchez, SORRY QB! Riley Cooper had off field issues and is a racist! But they kept him! They are making it hard for me to call them a favorite of mine!
 
I hate how they had to stoop to this level so they can justify releasing him. They wanna say his numbers is a product of the system but didn't Riley Cooper (who most see as nothing more than a 3 and we all KNOW is racist) had a career year under that same system

I just said that on Twitter. Dallas definitely could use him and let go of Austin or one of those other receivers but it seems like the Pats and Jets are the front runners
 
Honestly, I don't blame the Eagles. I knew some cats who worked with them back when they drafted him and Andy Reid was basically forced to pull the trigger on drafting dude. He has attitude issues and definitely is not someone I would want in my locker room.

Andy Reid wasn't forced to draft nobody he didn't want. LOL. He just vouched for DeSean in article I read today. Andy got fired because he had complete control of what was going on in Philly and when it didn't produce rings he was let go. Andy don't mind players with a little baggage or moxy. Hell he had enough issues with his own kids to be hard on other folks. Kelly just don't like the dude and the players left in that locker room probably don't either. They have gotten rid of all the outspoken players in Philly.


Shole don't look like ole Andy is forced to be interested in Jackson now. LOL. Your boys told you a big one. He may have a bad attitude. But Andy Reid has no issues with him apparently and now the Chiefs are interested in grabbing him.

Trade? Dude is a Free Agent now! He ain't going no where he has to be the second choice WR. If he wants to win he better head to Seattle or San Fran if they want him. Maybe KC next since they did make the playoffs.

I know that this is typical bureaucratic bull which exists in any organization, but when I think about this situation, the latest rule changes, and etc., something in my spirit just doesn't sit too well with me regarding the NFL and my favorite sport. Something just ain't right, I can't put my finger on it. I dunno (shrugging shoulders)....



.....anyways, I hope Jackson lands in Carolina, how you gonna have one of the most talented QBs ever and not have any weapons around him? If not Carolina, then my Raiders can take him...

Andy never had complete control in Philly. The dude who is in Cleveland now had the final say.

As for Jackson and his problems, Reid is a Comegy.. He don't mind a thug!

Hey that's where Andy is and seems interested in the player he drafted. It ain't about the QB. DeSean is fast enough to catch a 40 yard pass and take it to the house. You don't need to have a cannon arm to play with that kind of speed.

JR, don't believe that bruh. Andy Reid called Desean and told him that he didn't want to do this but they were going to draft him and that he did not want hear one peep from his daddy when he got there. Desean's dad was a helicopter parent that had caused issues in college.

That sounds bogus Pop. Jackson issues were his own coming out of Cal. You can't control a parent talking. Ask Barry Sanders. But no NFL team deals with that mess like college coaches do.

Bruh, I am not making this up. I was texting someone who was in the room that day when they picked him. Andy didn't want him. The GM and others were basically like, he has 1st round talent and he is still available so we got to take him. I am sure him and Any developed a good relationship over their years together.
