What I hate are texts where the person doesn't cut to the chase. Instead of sending a text saying, "Hey, I got a question for you", why not just ask the question?
People also need to keep the same etiquette with texts that they would with phone calls. If it is not important enough to warrant a phone call after hours, then it is probably not important enough for a text either (read: some of us are laid up on weekends or some weeknights and we don't want texts or phone calls unless someone is half-dead or their house is burning down).
