Just because it doesn't mean it couldn't.
And therein lies the problem.
The lack of the will to take a damn chance.

Speak for your school only.It appears you have studied leadership training just as many others, but you say "If the job isn't getting done, then he's gotta go." Please understand the Department of Athletics is not close to being in the top 3 priorities of any SWAC school. It might be to many alums, but not the Presidents. However, athletics is so important to the Alumni, the Presidents find a way to keep it for the alums. Every President or AD I have talk with will give you factual information.
Speak for your school only.
Get Ready was on point!!! Duer Sharp should be gone along with some of out presidents.
:topic:
Top Three Priorities for HBCU Presidents
1. Academic Enhancement (Growing Programs and Maintaining Accredited Programs)
2. Increasing Enrollment
3. Athletics
Now there are subsections of each of the above but that should be priorities of the HBCU Presidents...in my opinion. Now increasing fiscal capabilities is a subsection of #1.
Hate to tell you but athletics is only one department at a university. You can't have "sub sections" to manipulate your persepctive. :emlaugh:
Athletics is a priority. Athletics can be broken down to focus on a number of aspects i.e. sub-sections.:shame::smh:
Just because it doesn't mean it couldn't.
I never said it wasn't "a priority." It's just not where you would like it to be in most HBCU president's mind. :emlaugh:
Those are some very harsh words coming from this Avis Heath fella. I can only wonder how much studying he has done of other commissioners to label Sharp as "the most incompetent in the history of organized sports". Me thinks it is easy and convenient to blame everything on the commissioner. But he is not involved in the day to day functioning of our schools. He is not involved in coaching, recruiting, game day decisions. When we're looking to play the blame game, as this Avis Heath fella is, Sharp aint the only one in line to play. IMO, he wouldn't be an early first round draft pick either. :scared:The SWAC is in serious trouble because the conference is led by the most incompetent commissioner in the history of organized sports, Duer Sharp.

btw, if my recollection is correct (and it is), this Avis Heath fella is the same one who went on a similar diatribe against a previous SWAC commissioner.
