After the JSU fiasco, I think the board wanted to do a full search but after the 1st round of listening sessions and the outpouring of support for Dr. Briggs, they just went ahead and gave it to him. It was expected that he would get the job all along but the search kind of threw it off

Don't be fooled. JSU didn't really have a full search. Bynum and Briggs were both per-selected by the IHL.

Trust me there are some who were hesitant about Briggs because Bynum said he should be president which was unusual because that rarely happens. With the way Bynum was running things here, you can't blame those that are weary because most know that those two were close. I'm willing to give him the BOTD and see where it goes because from what most are saying he is the complete opposite of Bynum
