But rap is what made him popular enough for people to do business with him. If it wasn't for rap, there probably wouldn't be a Dr. Dre.

Also, my chapter brother Walter Tucker, Sr. was Mayor of Compton when N.W.A. was just starting out. It is safe to say, rap is what made Dr. Dre the person he is today.

I caught a cab in Richmond over the weekend. 5am...and the cab driver is talking about the Carlyle group and the missing plane. I'm staying at him like :whatever: Came home and was talking to a co-worker about it and he said he heard about that one as well. :lol:

True, but the silly part is to go back and forth on how Dre became popular. It's like the chicken and the egg type question. But I'm sure folks should be smart enough to get my initial point, which is, there will be a few knuckleheads saying Dr. Dre is about to make $3.2 billion for his business acquisition. And I'm sure some knucklehead has told a cab driver and their co-worker that already. :lol: :emlaugh:

From what I'm seeing, every media outlet is making it look like Dre is about to make $3.2 billion, which in actuality he will be making a profit of $550 million on a business that his portion is worth $250 million. At $1.1 billion, he still would be a billionaire, but not $3.2 billion plus his current worth of $550 million. It would be the $550 million profit plus his current worth of $550 million, which is $1.1 billion.

And for Dre to actually become a billionaire, he has to own at least 21.875% of Beats Electronics, which put him right at $1 billion dollar worth of assets after the sale. It is estimated he owns between 20% to 25%.

Black Americans on the other idolize and praise white Americans no matter what back ground, or what white Americans did to become successful. Do you know how many albums and concert tickets he would need to sell to gross that amount of money?

Not sure. He's not paying me to figure out how many albums or concert tickets he would need to sell to make him a billionaire, but since he is such a great businessman as some would say on here, that should be an easy task for him to figure out. Maybe you can volunteer your time free of charge to help Dre achieve that goal, but it definitely would be interesting to see his net worth after the acquisition goes through.

If you are correct and since his current net worth is $550 million and his current share in Beats is $250 million, his profit from the acquisition should equate to the 25% of the $3.2 billion ($800 million) minus his current share in Beats ($250 million), which equals $550 million. If my math is correct, his net worth should come to his current net worth ($550 million) plus his profit from the acquisition ($550 million), which equals a net worth of $1.1 billion before taxes, unless like I said previously, he had less than 21.875% ownership in Beats Electronics.

Do yall realize what Carlyle Group just did. They stuck $500 million in there, appears to bought dang near half the company and and are about to walk away with $1.5 billion after this sale? They didn't do one ounce of work to help the company grow.
