The Word on Wednesday
Good Morning All! Happy Wednesday to you! I greet you on this beautiful morning in the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is yet another day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. This day has been ordained just for you. What will you do with it?
I trust that this email finds all doing well, as I am.
Last Friday, as I was leaving the office to go home, I met a young lady at the outside elevator to the garage. As I got on the elevator to go down to the garage to get in my car, I spoke to the young lady and we exchanged pleasantries, thanking God that we had made it to Friday.
It was a cloudy , rainy day. As we proceeded to talk, on the short ride down, she told me that I was in for a terrible ride home as she was informed that there was a huge accident on the highway in which I was going to travel. As a matter of fact, she informed me that both sides of the highway were totally backed up.
I thought to myself, "oh no". It was Friday and I really wanted to go home and chill. I had no intentions of sitting in traffic for hours at a time.
Well, as I proceeded to get in my car, I started the car with the thought in mind that I was in for a long, horrifying ride home. As I got on the highway, I did not initially see any problems. No accident in sight and no back ups. I thought to myself, "it must be further down the highway". As I continued to travel, I still did not see any accident,no trouble and no back ups.
I had set myself up to believe something that was not even true.
To make a long story short, I made it home in record time (for a Friday). There was no problem whatsoever and all that I had been told, was an untruth.
My brother and my sister, you cannot believe all that you hear.
Whose report will you believe today?
Isaiah 53: 1 - 3: Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
As expediant as it may be at times to believe what you hear, you cannot believe all that you hear.
But there is one Word that you can always count on and that is the Word of God.
When the enemy comes to relay messages of doubt, discouragement, and disappointment, don't believe the report.
Believe the report of the Lord.
Phillipians 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
Make it an EXCELLENT day!
