I haven't kept up with Cuban in years, but I'm sure he appears to be an irrational person to a lot of people. I'm just wondering why he comes out and say what he said at this particular moment. The racist spotlight was on Donald Sterling not him. It seems to me that he might have also said some racially insensitive things in the past and he doesn't want his own words to come back and bite him in the butt like it did Donald Sterling, but that's just my RATIONAL opinion.

Los Angeles (CNN) -- The National Basketball Association will proceed with a vote to force a sale of the Los Angeles Clippers, rebuffing an effort by co-owners Donald and Shelly Sterling to sell the franchise voluntarily, NBA spokesman Mike Bass said Friday.
"We continue to follow the process set forth in the NBA Constitution regarding termination of the current ownership interests in the Los Angeles Clippers and are proceeding toward a hearing on this matter on June 3," Bass said.
His announcement followed reports earlier Friday about how Donald and Shelly Sterling agreed to a voluntary sale of the NBA franchise as the league prepares a vote on a forced sale, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Donald Sterling says he is going to continue to fight to keep the Clippers. IMO, that $2.5 billion offer was a fake offer put out there by Sterling in order to jack up the price. I'm sure interesting parties, such as the Guggenheim Partners know the team is not worth that much. Donald Sterling will be lucky if he gets $1 billion dollars after the league give him the boot. And he has now retracted the deal to let his wife negotiate the sale of the team.

You do realize this professional con artist/hustler is not trying to con or hustle Blacks and Latinos or people who do not have the funds to fight back. He knows the NBA will give him the boot come June 3rd and he is trying to make a huge profit on a team that's not worth $2.5 billion plus. Interesting parties with that kind of money are not crazy enough to give Donald Sterling $2.5 billion plus for a team that is worth approximately $1 billion dollars at the most. Once he is booted from the NBA, a true market value of the Clippers will be set as the low bid and the NBA will have the final say on who owns the team. Also, Donald Sterling have no proof that his team is worth $2.5 billion plus other than what was published in some article.

How? He was going to get richer anyway with the sale. Ballmer just wanted the team so bad he was willing to spend. Sterling is already a Billionaire. Him getting paid was going to happen no matter how much of a racist he is. He ain't the first one to get paid and will not be the last. He just got outed is all. Neither him or his wife can take that money with them no matter how much it is. So whomever are their heirs are the ones who are salivating. LOL. They know both Sterlings have a limited time left alive.

Like Anderson Cooper said, Sterling is about to get paid $2 billion dollars for his team, which is a huge profit, he can make several amends by donating some back to Black charity organizations as long as it is not the Los Angeles Chapter of the NAACP. IMO, Sterling is not donating anything, but I do hope there will be several housing discrimination lawsuits in the works to at least take some of that from him. Capital gains taxes would probably take $400 to $500 million away from that $2 billion.

Sterling has now hired Maxwell Blecher as his attorney to get the NBA to retract that his racist comments were the sole basis for the league to kick him out, just in case there are several discrimination lawsuits to follow, particular housing discrimination lawsuits.

I'm sure attorneys can find at least 10,000 individuals that have rented and are renting from him. A settlement of $500 million is like $50k per renter not including attorney fees. Therefore, it is quite possible he would have to pay $500 million or more if a ton of lawsuits are filed.

What he enjoyed was being a celebrity and being courtside and all that comes with being an owner. He is now not welcomed to NBA games. He is still banned. Folks who are his friends can't publicly say they are. So they will not be seen with him in fear of backlash of them being called racist. His heirs win.
