Actually I like the kid and think he will be a player.....no brush off. I think he will beat Rutland out eventually is all. Yall got a good one in Britt. Been following him since his Jr year in HS in Ohio. He is legit. Needs to put on some weight which I assume he is doing right now since he is already at JSU.

I actually see JSU running a two QB system for awhile until one of them beats the other one out. Provided Rutland is healthy. So I aint smacking. This is the sports board. Just giving my analogy of the kid's talent. He got game....now he just needs to translate it to the college level, which I think he will.

SU still going to beat yall though Soror. :swink:

We are hoping to aviod any QB battle going into the season. With Rutland, Hawkins, a 1-A transfer and possibly McKenna (a JUCO transfer), I don't think we need to waste a year on Britt especially not with our schedule. We can get to Bham with Rutland simply because our defense is going to carry us this year and we have enough offense to put some points up.

TP is Hawkins the kid who transferred from Grambling after Spears last season? He was 26 yrs old then.

No this is a walk-on from Jackson who came aboard during the Bell years. Somehow he's managed to stick around.

So when it was sTu, they said it would take time for him to learn the system so he wouldn't make much of an impact. But now it's them and, I guess it's the same system he's been playing in previously. Go Figure!
