Does the Word of God teach us how to cast our political Votes?

John 21:6 "And He said unto them, "Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find." They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes."

Their nets were so full that they couldn't pull it out of the water. They did what Christ had said, and followed His instruction, and there was an abundance of fish. When we teach and plant the seeds of truth of the gospel following as He has instructed us to do, many will hear, and come to know our Lord Jesus Christ. Let God's Word speak as it was intended, chapter by chapter and verse by verse, and when you do it prayerfully there is nothing that can stop you. We must first humble ourselves to where we know that it is not us, but the Spirit of God that will do the saving work. It is the Holy Spirit convicting each of us with the wisdom of Almighty God. That is right, we fish from the right side always, in all that we do.

John 21:9 "As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread."

Notice that when the boat finally got to shore, even though the net had not been opened yet, there was fish on the coals of fire, and bread along side. At the sight of Jesus, the fishermen sort of forgot the fish in the net, because the Lord had already prepared the fish and breakfast for them. Jesus is showing these followers of His that He will provide for you, if you will fish for men, His way.

John 21:10 "Jesus saith unto them, "Bring of the fish which ye have now caught."

Though they fished all night and caught nothing, now that they did have a catch they forgot to bring in their catch of fish. Jesus told them to finish the job, and bring in your catch. Why were they successful? Jesus told them to fish from the right side of the boat, reminding us that He will be there on the right hand of the Father when we are fishing for men.

No matter what we do, we are to be on the right side of the boat, even in politics and running a business;[/B] for the left side is communism and socialism, and God will not bless you unless you do things His way.

John 21:11 "Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken."

Friend, when you are fishing with Christ, the net will always hold your catch. All people of all races have a place in Christ net, if they will just repent and believe on His name. There is no limit. In biblical numerics 153 means "fruit bearing". "Fruit bearing" means "blessings of God".

Yes, it is true that we(christians) are suppose to vote republican because Jesus said we better do it. It is also true that Democrats are referred to as "Left Wing and Republicans are referred to as "Right Wing". It is true that there are bad apples on both sides but the majority of bad apples are on the LEFT. For example, if a republican is for homosexuality, same sex marriages, and many other things that go against the word of God, don't vote for him or her because he or she is not true to the right/THE WORD. You are suppose to vote for those that cater to the WORD of God and not a politically correct opinion.

Remember, it was the Republican party that was against "slavery". It was Abraham Lincoln/Right Wing who declared war on the Left Wing.

Long ago, God showed us what to expect in this post-Christian era: "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. From such people turn away!"

Remember, separatism is intolerable to the UN. To "turn away" would violate its vision of social solidarity. So it's not surprising that the passage continues with this warning:

"...all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned..." (2 Timothy 3:1-5,12-14)

It won't be easy to continue to stand firm in God's uncompromising Word when the world demands consensus. But there is no other safe position in this fast-changing world. Only our King can provide all the strength, wisdom, peace, and love we need for the battle 12. When we choose to follow Him, He strength becomes ours! His life in us will bring encouragement and hope to all around us. Remember, we are on the winning side. "Blessed is the people whose God is the Lord!"

It does tell us these two things:

Prov 3:5-6

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

In John 21:6 we see that Jesus is very detailed in His instruction to Simon Peter; "Cast the nets on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find." This holds true even today, for when we cast our nets to fish for men, it should always be to the right.

Luke 5:9 "For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:"

Think of it, fishing all night and catching nothing, then at the word of Jesus, instantly there were so many fish that it just about sunk the boat. When Peter thought of it, he was astonished.

Luke 5:10 "And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, "Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men."

Peter knew how to fish for fish, and He saw that Jesus was completely in control of even the forces of nature, when He told him to do something. Now Jesus is telling Peter that he would be a fisher of men. Instead of catching fish, Peter would now fish for me. Peter knew how to set the nets, and that many time your efforts would yield very little. In fishing for men it is the same way, you don't throw the anchor at them, or try to smother the man Jesus has led you to with words. You fish with words, a word of truth here, and an idea there, and then you wait for a response from the person. It is the Holy Spirit that must do the leading and sprouting of that seed of truth that you have planted.

Deteronomy 23:18 "Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the Lord thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the Lord thy God."

This applies to the house of God also, for these perverts are an abomination to the Lord. This has nothing to do with those people that raise dogs for resale as a living. "The price of a dog" has to do with the position that a male prostitute takes in doing his service. This is a figure of speech, and those Sodomites that are welcomed into a church are not attending a church that has God's blessings, but a church that has God's curses. Moses is calling the male prostitute "a dog", or even lower than a dog. God wants no part of Sodomy or prostitution in the military, nor in His house of worship. Don't bring or allow Sodomites near God's house. God's Word is very clear as to how He feels about this subject and those that take part in these filthy perversions.

Those people that call themselves Christians, and living in Sodomy and prostitution are an abomination to God Himself. The problem today is that sometimes those Sodomites rise to high positions of power and bring the curses upon an entire church or even a nation. If you think that you can get away with flaunting your filth in God's face and get away with your abominations, stand by and watch the curses come upon your church and nation. God's Word is complete within itself, and He is the one that is in charge.

When you put God first in your life and follow the voice of God written in His Word, your business will prosper and everything that you set out to do will find a blessing within it. God has given our nation all the blessings that the entire world seeks after. We are one nation under God, not Satan, but under God. Our national motto is "In God we Trust."

Though many are ready to give up today, there are many young people, men and women that stand firm with God. They would never allow Satanic forces to bring an abomination upon our nation. It shall not happen, for God's people will not allow it to happen. There is a spiritual war going on in our nation to protect things and rights that we hold dear. It is time to take a stand when you see the things of God handled carelessly, and evil men playing with our freedoms. If the freedoms are taken from us, it will be because of what we have allow to happen to us.

Deuteronomy 28:9 "The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto Himself, as He hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in His ways."

This is a repeat the thought of verse two. The Lord has established for himself a holy people and nation. We know today that this promise has come to pass, for our forefathers created our nation on the laws and commandments of God's holy Word. They did the work according to God's ways and our nation has been well blessed. However, for these blessing to continue, there is a clause in God's contract with His people that we are to follow.

That condition again is; "If thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in His ways." Though we may fall short of God's laws from time to time, we can repent of those things and get back on the right path, the right way. God will bless us when we try and continue to walk in His commandments. Our path and ways are laid out in our constitution and our laws, for they were formed and laid down from the Word of God. We are one nation under God.

As you can see God tells us how to vote and we should vote for those that are willing to "KEEP" his commandments. We know that God is against sodomy and murder therefore we should not vote for those who are for it. If we do then we are saying that we are against God and we put our nation in danger.

Romans 16:17 ? How can you mark those that CAUSE divisions if you have not first, by the word of God, discerned (judged) that they are in error?

I Corinthians 5:2-13 ? Paul sums it all up by saying ?Put away such a wicked person.?

II Timothy 3:16-17 ? How can we ?Reprove? and ?Correct? unless we have first determined that there is someone standing before us who is in need of correcting and is this not judging them? Does not every (good) parent correct their children's misbehavior? did they not first judge the child of being in error?

Luke 17:33 "Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it."

When the false christ is here on earth, if you seek to worship him and have the favors that he promises you; Jesus is telling you that you will lose your soul. However, if you stand against the false christ, you will preserve the life of your soul for the eternity. Jesus Christ makes it so simple here that even a small child should be able to understand. The subject here is still the false christ and his angels appearing on earth; as well as the things that went on both before the flood with the fallen angels; and the Sodomy that when on in the days of Lot.

Jesus is telling us to look around us and pay attention to these events going on around us. When you see it happening, the end is near.

I can not disagree. However, the Bible Clearly teaches Godly characteristics and principles, from such we are given good information to make an informed decision. Unfortunately, we usually cast our votes only for those we feel will better serve OUR interest, not the INTEREST most consistent with GOD"S principles.

Even as an INFORMED voter, AT BEST, we are only voting for the Best of ?a pool of imperfect people?. God has shown through history (The Bible) that there is no Human (man or woman) Solution to earthly problems, even King David?s reign was less than stellar. King David will have a rightful rulership in the Millennium kingdom. Though Jesus Christ will be the King of Kings, David will be the leader of our Israelite peoples.

Ezekiel 37:25 "And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob My servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and My servant David shall be their prince for ever."

There will be a huge change on the first day of the Millennium age, for all generations will exist together, at the same time.

Ezekiel 37:26 "Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore."

God will make an everlasting covenant with Israel; all Israel. That covenant will provide that God's tabernacle, Jesus Christ, will be with us for ever and ever. Jesus Christ will live here on earth, and be at home with us, and never again leave.

I apologize for the double post but my point is that Jesus is going to restore order to the world and things are going to be done his way. It doesn't matter what or how people feel because "everyone" will obey God's law and Prince David will be right there to make sure its done. God is in control and he is expects christians to take care of business but because we allow knuckle heads to push their beliefs on us, Christ has to come back with a "Rod of Iron" for "CORRECTION". What does this mean for those who want it done their way instead of God's way? If you're not on the right then you'll certainly be on the left. Like the malefactor hanging on the "left" of Christ. The one on the right was the one who repented for his sins and Christ told him "Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with Me in paradise." I can assure you that this man was on the "right" side of Christ because Christ told us to fish for men out the right side of the boat. The left will always lead you down the wrong path but the right will always lead you in the right direction. We should always vote for men who will stand on God's law, even when they go astray. King David is a great example of going astray but turning to God for guidance.

The newly formed Republican Party of Lincoln was the liberal party in 1860 and the Democratic Party was the conservative party in 1860. Lincoln's party was called the "Radical Republicans"

The two political parties don't change their leaning until the 20th century. Wilson and FDR were liberal democrats. Teddy Roosevelt was a liberal republican.

I interpret Jesus as a socialist. What do you think about that? He wasn't a capitalist.

I'm not going to argue with you because I have a better understanding of "Left" and "Right" and you don't. You have absolutely no idea of whats going on in this world. Let me enlighten you on something. The UN is an evil organization in which the sons of Cain started and control to this day. The Word of God clearly speaks out against this evil organization(New World Order) and its the political beast that will receive a deadly wound. Do you know what will cause that deadly wound? It is also true that Democrats are referred to as "Left Wing and Republicans are referred to as "Right Wing". It is true that there are bad apples on both sides but the majority of bad apples are on the LEFT. For example, if a republican is for homosexuality, same sex marriages, and many other things that go against the word of God, don't vote for him or her because he or she is not true to the right/THE WORD. You are suppose to vote for those that cater to the WORD of God and not a politically correct opinion....

So, what is your contention?
  1. Vote Republican because "Jesus said we better do it"
  2. Vote for the candidate in any given office which stands on the side of the most issues that are righteous, even though that person may be on the left side.
  3. Not vote for either candidate when they are split on the number of righteous issues?
  4. Just do what we think is best?
  5. Acknowledge God as to how to vote on each office and do what He tells us even if it includes voting for someone on the left?
  6. Opt out of the process because God will setup and takedown who He will anyway?

Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding."

"Confide in the Lord with all that is on your mind." Confide with Father like you would with your closest friend. Don't rely on your own discernment until after you have laid it before the Lord. Test your trials with the Word to see what instructions the Lord has for you. Then ask God for direction and discernment over the matter.

Proverbs 3:6 "In all thy ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct thy paths."

In everything you do, recognize God and acknowledge His authority over you, and God will direct you and the path you should take. Did you notice the condition stated here in order for God to direct you in the way that you should be going? That condition is that you must first acknowledge and recognize God and ask him for the direction, then wisdom is given to you. God will direct our path, "IF" we acknowledge Him. How can any man vote for those things that are an abomination to God Himself? Whenever a servant of God go astray, God will always direct their path to get them back on the right path. If a man is not a servant of God then God can't use him because his agenda and principles are not Godly. It makes sense and Jesus said fish for men on the "Right" side of the boat. No matter what we do, we are to be on the right side of the boat, even in politics and running a business; for the left side is communism and socialism, and God will not bless you unless you do things His way.

Why Martin Luther King Was Republican

It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism.

It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860s, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950s and 1960s.

During the civil rights era of the 1960s, Dr. King was fighting the Democrats who stood in the school house doors, turned skin-burning fire hoses on blacks and let loose vicious dogs. It was Republican President Dwight Eisenhower who pushed to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and sent troops to Arkansas to desegregate schools. President Eisenhower also appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the U.S. Supreme Court, which resulted in the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision ending school segregation. Much is made of Democrat President Harry Truman's issuing an Executive Order in 1948 to desegregate the military. Not mentioned is the fact that it was Eisenhower who actually took action to effectively end segregation in the military.

Democrat President John F. Kennedy is lauded as a proponent of civil rights. However, Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil Rights Act while he was a senator, as did Democrat Sen. Al Gore Sr. And after he became President, Kennedy was opposed to the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King that was organized by A. Phillip Randolph, who was a black Republican. President Kennedy, through his brother Atty. Gen. Robert Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI on suspicion of being a Communist in order to undermine Dr. King. Few black Americans know that it was Republicans who founded the Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
