I knew it was just a matter of time. The people at UNT have had eyes on Dodge for a minute now.

Southlake Carroll coach agrees to contract terms with university

Southlake Carroll head coach Todd Dodge has agreed to terms on a contract with North Texas and will be announced as the Mean Green's new head coach during a 7 p.m. press conference tonight, sources close to the situation said Tuesday morning.

Dodge is one of the most successful high school coaches in the state and the nation.

Carroll has advanced to either the Class 5A Division I or Division II title game in each of the last four seasons and will face Allen on Saturday at Texas Stadium for the right to play for this season's Division I state title.
The Dragons won state titles in 2002, 2004 and 2005.

They HAD to offer that guy quite a bit of scrilla! He was clocking somewhere around 250,000$ per year w/ endorsements, high school booster salary kick, radio show lol, endorsements, and prolly a tv show that we in the "po" part of the metroplex have never seen. :lol:

DAMN!!!!! Wonder what his staff is going to consist of? Lawd... Plz don't let me call this guy and try my best to make him remember me from high school so I can get on that staff. :shame: *sigh*

Hopefully he'll be as successful @ the I-A level as he was @ the HS level. :tup: Good luck Dodge!
 



The UNT board of regents will meet at 2 p.m. today to approve the contract. The board must approve contracts with a base salary that exceeds $500,000 for the term of the contract.

Dodge's deal with UNT will exceed that total.

I think he was making $90K at SLC. Can't blame him for taking an increase. He is going to have all kinds of Texas kids KNOCKING his door down to play for him. Especially the ones that UT and A&M don't want.

I hope that this is NOT a distraction for the team.

Sperm, I watched a Sat a.m. special that covered the "life" of Todd Dodge and he had a radio show and he also signed endorsement deals lol that had him above that 200K$ mark. And that was a few years ago. I shudder to think of the type increase he's been given considering the successes of SLC.

SLC is so entrenched that I would think that a SWAC coaching staff could go in there and they'd continue to win. :retard:

W/ all the fugging up I've PERSONALLY bore witness to over the last number of "N" years :emlaugh:, I don't know man.

I've seen't some SWAC isht that makes NO gott dayam sense!

Like Pete and staff refusing to run the ball in the last 5 mins of a football game up by 2 TDs to a perennial doormat team. :retard:

Like AAMU in '05 doing the SAME dumb ass isht... Up by 10 pts (I think) w/ less than 8 mins to go in the game and they come out and throw 3 STRAIGHT incomplete passes which allows the SAME perennial doormat team to drive DOWN the field in less than 3-4 mins and potentially score a TD. :emlaugh:
 
If Dodge manages to show improvement of any kind at UNT he will be out of UNT in 3 years to take a bigger position somewhere else. Considering the conference that UNT plays in (Sun Belt) it will not take much. A couple of trips to the New Orleans Bowl and Dodge will see himself coaching somewhere in the Big 12. LOL! :lol:

not much......dead period is next week anyway...just knowing the announcement is made will start the enthusiasm....

You shole is right SOG...........Maybe Baylor will come knocking one day. They have been a doormat in the Big 12. LOL.

I guess Franchione is safe at A&M for now.
Texas Tech could be a possibilty if and when Leach leaves.

P, Ron Prince just got there and he is recruiting well from what I heard. Like SOG said, that win over UT and he is okay. All he has to do is schedule like his predecessor did and he can be there forever. LOL.
 



he's making over $500K to coach at a low D-1 school..talk about the bar being raised....Louisiana Tech paid the last coach $200K....
