No, to no one. My lady keeps trying to get me to prove myself but I won't. If I do not start it I will nothave to keep it up.

I believe I need to prove myself, to my son, since I'm his role model and a positive figure, in his life. I don't believe I need to prove myself to anyone else, though.
 
I have to prove myself to my wife. Every day, and every month provides a different challenge, and as a husband, and a black man, hell a black husband, we get a bad rap for not being good husband's, men, fathers, providers, and lovers. I have to prove to my wife everyday, that her husband is not one of those men.

I don't have to prove myself to anyone!!!!!!! I even take this with me when walking into woprk each day.... I go in and do the job and they evaluate my performance from there.... People on the other hand I could give a damn about proving anything to them.... I AM NOT A PEOPLE PERSON AT ALL and will be single for a lonnnnnnnggggg time.....

I have to prove myself everyday to my students, my child, my clients and my man. I pray every day they deserve my committment and selflessness when it comes to them.

I have to prove myself WORTHY to teach them how to be GOOD lawyers, how to embrace it, how to be conduits between the justice system and the ordinary person. Justice is blind, but she can hear, so I must every day endeavor to walk the walk, talk the talk to convince them that as attorneys they are role models to our community, they are social engineers, and they must take up the cause of access to justice for citizens who society has disenfrancised, disgusted, dissuaded, dismissed, and just plain dissed.

When I step to them there must never be hypocrisy or bullsh it, I have to be the real deal or they will not trust me, ergo, they will not develop the passion to become the voices for the voiceless.

Impressive! I admire you for that right there! To me that makes a man! To admit he may be falliable but he is on the straight and narrow and admires his woman/wife enough to admit to all of the world that he does have to prove himself to her. That has some kind of humility in that action. Keep on doing the best you can to prove yourself to her. When you're older and your kids are growing up, you'll both appreciate it. To me, it means you actually CARE what she thinks of you and you want her to think the best and know she's got the best. That is admirable D!:tup:

That's right on, right there NICE and SS. :bowdown:

I did that stuff a loooooooong time ago to my family, community, friends, and even enemies :).

Now? I have nothing to prove to anyone. My family and hometown communities' blessings are all that matter to me @ this stage in life. :)
