Do ya'll realize...

TIGERS are not complaining at all. If there is one team we KNOW we can beat, it's UAPB.

We are not mad at all. We were so good that we lost a game that we did not need. We could have beat UAPB and STILL be in a must win situation against AAMU. So UAPB, have your little fun.

JSU will see you in Bham!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

My, my, my....You can't beat us. You didn't do it when you came to PB. You thought you would be able to do it again but your team didn't win Sat against AAMU. We took care of our end to get to B' ham and your team didn't. Stop hatin....you aren't going to b' ham this year so stop your hatin. Finish your season and worry about your off season while we are in b'ham.

No.
southern didn't beat all the SWAC teams in 04. ASU did though.

carry on...
If my memory serves me correctly, in 2004 Southern beat ASU in Montgomery on a last second pass to Emile Bryant. Time ran out as he ran across the goal line for the winning TD. ASU won the rematch, but both games were exciting as hell and featured big come backs.

...That if UAPB wins out, they'll have already won the SWAC on the field. It's kinda messed up that they could finish with the best record in the conference and lose in the SCG to a team they already beat.

The 9-game mandate is completely worthless, and we just might see its worst case scenario in a few weeks. Food for thought.

THIS IS DUMB TO ME. I AM NOT SAYING I AM IN FAVOR OR NOT IN FAVOR OF THE 9 GAME MANDATE.

BUT PLAYOFF AND POSTSEASON ARE WAY DIFFERENT THAN REGULAR SEASON. IN ANY SPORT, YOU MAY PLAY A TEAM THAT YOU PLAYED (AND MAYBE BEAT) IN THE REGULAR SEASON I THE PLAYOFFS. YOU PLAY THE REGULAR SEASON TO GET TO THE POST SEASON.

CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE WON IN THE POSTSEASON. IF YOU PLAY A TEAM YOU ARLEADY BEAT IN THE REGULAR SEASON, THEN YOU GOTTA BEAT THEM AGAIN TO BE CHAMPIONS.

Again man, what's the point of a championship game if you play everybody in the conference during the regular season? No other conference in the nation does this. Either unbalance the schedule, or add two member institutions. Otherwise, the SCG isn't justifed under the 9-game format. It's a pointless game when a champion has already emerged in the regular season by virtue of head-to-head matchups.

IMHO, you just don't get it, championships are not won during regular season matchups. There is NO MAJOR SPORT that it is not possible that you may not play a team in the playoffs that you did not play in the regular season.

To me, they are separate issues, if we do the 9 game mandate or not is one issue. The SGC instead of the playoffs is another.

Winning the regular season gives you the right to play for the championship, it doesn't give you a championship. Period.

I will disagree. It wasn't until in the early 90s (when the SEC expanded) that schools added a championship game. The champion was decided in the regular season.

The conference champion is still decided in the regular season for college basketball, its just you have a tournament champion also.

Thanks, Robber, for spelling that out for him while I was offline. And to think he was about the call me a dumbass.

Bluedog,

You must be the resident "angry man" of the Jag Nation. You do realize you sat right next to me at the JSU/SU game right? Cut that internet tough-guy isht out. I ain't impressed. Check the sig....

Yes they were...open your eyes, put your glasses on and re read the thread.

Dude, this was the original post. Show me where there is crying about you all beating us.
