Defense to carry Hornets to SWAC Football Championship

You heard it hear first remember we may have lost our key offensive players but the defensive will pick up the slack led by #9 Earl Cochran. Can't nobody stop him. The offense will be ready to go by the time of the first game.

No doubt.

Look for the Hornets to be Cole-Blooded on both sides of the ball in 2002. Also, don't be surprised if the offense is just as good, or better    than it was last year.

I won't be surprised if the Bama State offense is good. Johnny Coles can put a scoring machine together. But I'd be shocked like hell if L. C. puts a dominant defense on the field. L. C. doesn't have a good track record in that department.

..I look for the offense to be alright and for the defense to suck as usual. You can't expect the offense to be as good as it was last year maybe as good as it was in 2000 and that is only because a system is already in place. Without Kennedy, they won't be the same though. The defense looks good now because the offense is depleted.

are you kidding me? Are we smacking, or are we talking football?

If the answer is football...........then why would we believe that Coles will have a great defense. He never has. Even when he had TnSU undefeated, they didn't have a great defense. Offense. I can see. That is Coles calling card...but defense. Come on man.

And I will give Cochran his props. He is good, but he can be neutralized. Don't believe me, see A&M and GSU game in B-ham. Cochran is no run stopper. He is too light in the arse. You run at him and pound him, and he is not as effective as when he is let loose. His best assets are his height and his speed.

But what do I know.....

Suge,

Gram is depleted too.

We shall see.

;) hee, hee, UNLV tranfers...........:eek2: LC has done it again plus with that psycho Rock being the Def Coord. ........
The defense is gonna have to pick up the slack for the offense until they get up to speed.
Why y'all think we put Miles as our first game.
They'll both be clicking bout time we get to Alklan;)

You need defensive talent to pick up the slack that the offense will lack.

Somebody from Jackoff State should be the last person to talk about defense. Jackoff State gave up points of:61,42 and 64

You got transfers from that jaugernaut UNLV. LOOK OUT SWAC!!!

You played Miles in your first game because you are a smailltime coward school. You paid LC 130K to defeat Miles. And you are not good in math.

hee,hee, UNLV tranfers
:p

Man do not make me laugh.

How can anyone become excited, about one or two transfers from UNLV. Here's a school with John Robinson, a former LA Rams and USC head coach. And the best they could do last season was 3-4 {Conference} and 4-7 {Overall}. I am sure if they were any good, JR, UNLV, Alumni and the City of Vegas, would have found a way to keep them. Why in da He!!, would anyone leave Vegas / UNLV for Montgomery / ASU? Maybe, they thought ASU was going D1A and they would have an opportunity to play against UNLV.

Deuce

I can understand a few individuals being excited about a few UNLV transfers. But, you should know better.

I sure would love to know the names of the transfers.

Hef,

I'm excited about Cole-Blooded Football.

Period.

Whether we got transfers from UNLV or the NAACP, doesn't matter with me.

But Deuce, jsue's new dc is the best ever. I mean he did lead that juggernaut PV over that powerhouse Paul Bunyon,,,I mean Paul Quin or maybe he led them over Langston Hughes. And after PV dumped him, I bet that high school he coached was the best in Tx. TP, Please post those numbers and scare us some more. :snicker:

um GR,
For the umpteenth time, we're paying LC to keep kicking jsue. I'm still waiting on you to telll me why jsue is still paying JW

Cole: "Man! Why didnt ya'll tell me that we wasnt movin up like the Jeffersons?! That was the only recruiting tool I had left besides the weight room! Dang! Im always the last to know something around this campus. I guess that is the way they was raised."

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!Exactly, what do you know?????

These are the two games that you say Cochran was neutralized

vs GSU in Bham
Cochran had
8 tackles
2 sacks

vs A&M
Cochran had
10 tackles (7 of them solo)
5 Tackles for loss
2 sacks
1 forced fumble

Not only was he defensive MVP of the Magic City Classic, but he was Defensive Player of the Week in the SWAC after that game

Suge, next time, you may wanna pick a better choice of games to try to make your point or you'll wind up leaving the gate open again.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Who is Cochran? Did he play in the JSU game? If so, please let him return...I hope he has many years left.

Who is Cochran?!! You must didn't see how he pressured Robert Kent at Jackoff State's homecoming wit all those tears in your eyes from losing. We'll if Kent can finally beat ASU but i doubt dat will happen

Okay Kobe Stopper....didn't I say that Cochran was good? Didn't I say that he relies on his speed and height. Don't just give me his stat line. Hell he may have had 100 tackles, but how many were for losses? That is the measure of a DL. TFL's and Sacks. I know in MCC 2001 he balled. I was speaking of MCC 2000, when A&M just ran the ball all day. And I said that as a pass rusher, that he is at his best. I think I gave that man his props. i didn't try to knock him. But like any light weight, fast DE, he is subject to getting ran over when you run at him. Just like other DL in his mold......like Kearse, etc. Hell see Mark Hall and Andre Arnold from GSU last season. Now, unless you can tell me you just watched the film of those games, and where he made these plays, then I ain't listening! He can't take a block, and if you tell me he can, then you don't know a dayum thing about football. He is 255 on a good day. That is LB weight. Who cares if a DL is making plays 5-10 yards down the field. DL is not a position where you can just drop some stats......come on man. I know you are trying to lok out for your player. But we are talking football. Save it for the smack board. You and no one else here is going to tell me that any DL that is sub 280 is a run stopper.

But what do I know.......

Is the white QB going to be a factor or has he transfered?

Wouldn't you like to know. We have three good candidates(Jermaine Crenshaw, Nick Fortsan and Braschear, otherwise known as the white QB) that are ready to carry the torch that Darnell has left for Bama State. It doesnt matter who our QB is because the swac championship is coming home to montgomery

One thing you'll can surely count on, and that is ColeBlooded III football will be in full affect. And get ready for something exciting this year like the year before.
