Grambling hired a diamond in the rough in Domond. She has plenty of pull around the world when it comes to who's who in women's basketball. She is knows the game. Don't be shocked she lands a bigger gig if she keeps winning.
 
Congrats JSU. Now just finish the job

Hopefully Valley can build off of this and carry it into next year. We're still a year away. We need size (probably a good big man or two who fits Payne's system (a 6'6-6'7 stretch 4 type and an athletic PF/C) with Love graduating) and a consistent 3rd scorer away from contending next year (Romain and Williams come back) but proud of the way we ended the year.

Bama State is starting to pull away. Once GSU gave up that 10 point lead, the started to fall apart. Like you stated, the experience factor kicked in for the Hornets. They are playing like they have been here before.
 
I hope that lady hornet who couldnt get up is okay. She was big today. Couldnt put any pressure on her leg. May not be able to go tomorrow

Oh yeah. We are the youngest team in the SWAC. Coach Domond is a good coach, she just came in with too much youth. Experience was the name of the game tonight. The veterans basically said, "enough is enough" when the game was tied up tonight.

Your team reminds me of the current Lady Hornets Team. We were very young but competitive. Last season, most of the key players were sophomores and half way through SWAC play they got hot and it carried over to the SWAC Tournament. GSU is definitely going in the right direction!

Yup. I agree. Those senior gave our girls that good ole "keep y'all heads up" as the two teams left the floor. Class act by ASU.

It's good to be back in the heat of things in women's basketball again. There was a time when GSU folks would leave after the women's game was over. Lol.


Anyway, that was a good comeback by ASU and good luck against the Lady Jags.
