Reviews, thoughts...

I enjoyed the movie. Thirty minutes too long but I liked it. I thought Ben was good as Batman.

I enjoyed the movie myself. True they could have cut the time but I was good with the overall product. I don't know why people mad at Ben but he did damn good. Just like Jesse did a good job as Lex too.

Ben was a surprisingly good Batman. I enjoyed the movie very much. I went to the 3D version and felt there should have been more effects. The movie actually went in to the story of how Alfred assist. That story was touched on enough in the earlier movies. I wish Superman was dead forever because I can't stand his bitch ass.

Lol, can't have the Justice League without Superman.

A rich Republican with expensive gadgets.
He's basically DC's version of Iron Man. lol

But to counter, I don't think Bruce Wayne is a Republican, he and his family seemed to support a lot of social programs that Republicans would cut and could care less about. Plus, what Republican do you know would support a separate private entity with so much power and fortune that it basically rules the world.........wait scratch that, he is Republican. lol

Nah. Doubt if they have Bizzaro in the next film. I feel as if Snyder put three known DC stories into one film and made some of the critics confused. I didn't love the film. I didn't hate the film. Just thought it was.....meh. Could've been better. The characters are good except for Lex. Thought that I wouldn't see Jesse Einsinberg playing himself in the film. Affleck proved me wrong and killed that role. The man was just brutal and whooped everybody's ass. lol

Dark knight returns, death of superman... what was the third?

I dont come in this subforum much... but this was one of the more crappy superhero movies i've seen. How they took the 2 most popular comic book characters and turned it into that is just confusing.

It was just ok to me. They turned Lex into a punk ass geek. Wonder Woman and Batman were the best characters.

I have to say after paying close attention to it last night, I did enjoy the movie. It was long, but I figure they had to make it a bit longer so they could introduce all of the characters to the general population. Some things I noticed:

1. The Wonder Woman character was excellent in this movie and I loved how they showed her enjoyment of battle during the Doomsday fight. She actually would beat the mess out of Superman in a hand-to-hand battle because she is a trained fighter won't hesitate to go for the kill(against non-humans) while Superman just throws a bunch of strong punches and hopes he doesn't kill.

2. Batman would be a great politician, because he swayed me to his side with that speech to Alfred about how even a 1% chance of Superman turning evil could lead to Earth's destruction. Loved how he connected it to their experiences with many good people turning bad in Gotham, it really shut Alfred up, and got me on his side about taking down Superman.

3. How many times is Superman going to save Lois Lane?

4. I didn't like how they turned Lex Luthor into a rich version of the Joker. His character was the only one I didn't like. Dude straight messed over his fine Asian assistant. I shed a tear seeing her get blown away. Also Lex Luthor will probably take a step back from the action due to having too much knowledge about the real identities of everyone but Batman.

5. I agree with what someone posted earlier about Batman's dream. Superman is most definitely under some sort of hypnosis by Darkseid. From his statement to Batman and the fact that he was allied with the Para-demons, it appeared that Darkseid or one of his minions managed to trick Superman into thinking that he saw Batman kill Lois Lane. Batman will more than likely have a secret stash of kryptonite now.

All right. They left a lot of things out and you just had to piece things together. This will not even touch "X-men" and Marvel movies. I could have went to sleep in this movie. Batman chicken out at the end with Doomsday aka Ultimate. No one knows where Wonderwoman came from. She just appeared in the movie. You had to piece that the last Superman movie was the storyline of Superman to go with this movie and how I figured that out is because they used the same characters that played Superman, his momma, his dad, and the General in this movie. I actually thought Gotham was New York or some sort. I kept trying to figure out how Batman and Superman ended up in the same city, protecting the same city. This movie sucked now that I think more on it. Blah!!!

#5 Good observation.

The problem is you're trying to compare Marvel and DC and you can't do it. DC is way to dark. Marvel movies are more about cracking jokes than anything. Good action but lots of jokes. Story line goes the same with each film from Spider Man to the upcoming Capt America, character or team starts out having fun, new villain shows up, character or team lose trust with self or each other, enemy weakness is found now character or team fight while making more jokes. they beat the threat all the while cracking more jokes.

I'm not knocking them at all but they are the same plots with Marvel. DC is way more edgy that's why its hard to make those films because if a director was to stay true to the DC way it wouldn't be made for the little ones to see at the movies. DC have to be big boy movies. That's why the Green Lantern flopped, tried to do the Marvel thing. Go watch a few animated DC movies and you will see what I mean. A few come on HBO and a few are on Netflix.

By the way Metropolis and Gotham sit across the each other just as New Jersey sits across from New York City.
