Just as I've always thought, Clarence Thomas does not believe in that color blind crap he's been gaming and benefiting from all this time, and does believe race based remedies can be applicable. What a sell-out and hypocrite.
Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson pointed out the apparent hypocrisy in Thomas' rationale at the top of her concurrence, where she wrote: "Despite his longstanding endorsement of a 'colorblind' Constitution, Justice Thomas now surprisingly suggests that the Citizenship Clause was a race-conscious remedial measure, relating only to 'freed slaves such as Dred Scott.'"

Thomas already knew which way he was going to vote and thus had to find a way to justify it. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson pointed out the hypocrisy in Thomas opinion and really showed what a piece of shit a human being Justice Thomas is. I whole-heartedly agree, many of his opinions and dissents have nothing to do with reasoned arguments before the court or court precedent. As you suggest, he starts with his predetermined desired outcome and work backwards attempting to justify it.
