They are 8-0 with a win of a FBS school, I think if they were in the Playoffs they would go deep.

And lose money. Broadway has already expressed his position on the FCS playoffs and the Celebration Bowl.

I dont think they'd go deep. FBS Charlotte has one win and I dont think they've beaten a single ranked team. Theyd probably get past the first round, but then again they have Wofford and Elon that'll likely be in that bracket.

Its funny how every time an hbcu is ranked the same ole topic comes up year in and year out, only to be proven wrong time and time again.

Has TSNU clinch the OVC title yet?

You can diminish the win against Charlotte if you'd like, but let me ask, how many other HBCU teams would have beaten Charlotte?

Doesn't factor into the equation at all. Look at Howard and who they beat and played tough against, but yet struggling in their own conference

How is Howard struggling being tied for 2nd place in the MEAC with only one conference loss?

I want one of these 3 on our schedule, that's the only thing missing from our schedule. A team that really defines how good we are or are not. Northwestern Sucks, Tulane is FBS and Clark was DII.. I wanna see us play a James Madison. I really believe we can compete and win

if they put a ban on money games, we could get more games like that.

This needs to happen. Forget what valley does by taking a payday to go there and play. Home and home. I was disappointed when the hornets dipped on playing sam houston. You'd already been to texas to play. Bring them boys to your house and try and put something on them. I understand having the series with tennessee state, who they need to find a way to get back on the schedule, so you essentially gave up the game for miles/tdc.

That's not saying much when you have a conference that consistently have four and five way ties. My point is they struggle to beat the quality teams in their conference

I totally disagree. I think it says a lot about a program that has only seen 3 or 4 winning seasons in the past 15 or 16 years. As for beating "quality" teams, I think the results speak for themselves. They lost to N.C. Central (a quality team) by 6 points. They beat a quality BCU team by 2 points and beat all of their other weaker MEAC opponents by margins that a stronger team should beat weaker teams. Consider the fact that the MEAC is arguably a stronger conference than the SWAC from top to bottom, Howard is a SOLID team.

Up until this year Howard was the Jackson State of the MEAC. And if Howard were to play Jackson State right now, Howard might have to boycott for a running clock, because they would beat the dog shit out of J-State...right TP? *snicker*

No.

Not dynamic enough on the offensive side. Even with Cohen, they were a top #15 team going into the playoffs and got dominated by Richmond. MEAC ball can beat most FCS schools and even lower tier FBS schools.

Any HBCU that wants to come with the big boys in FCS has to have a dynamic offense with a good QB and a great running game. You saw how JMU ran over NDSU with their transfer QB and running game.

Mr. Know It All do you think that ANY school in the SWAC right now has the cache to demand a home and home with a JMU, NDSU, SHSU, etc.? The simple answer is no

Grambling is on their way there if they can continue to stay ranked for a couple of years IF Fobbs stays there. NCAT is heading there as well. These schools can afford to pay our "big" schools in the SWAC to do a one way home game but you wanna try to bring Valley up when your school did the same damn thing. SHSU did it with PV because they know PV will bring a crowd but they know they won't bring any type of crowd to PV

You just post all that to get at TP. Having said that I accept that's a fair viewpoint, I just look at it the opposite way.

Sorry man, but Howard would beat THEE fugg out of y'all THIS year.

You need an offense to beat JSU and the MEAC dont have offense. Also, the JSU the last two weeks is about to show up the next 3 weeks... WATCH! We are not a bad team .. just a young team that was being led down the wrong path by a former SU employee and TNState grad. Nothing about that is good for Jackson State. We have an alum over the offense and over the band and we are moving in the right direction with both!

I wish one of those schools WOULD try that mess with JSU. Only a smalltime school would accept a payout from a fellow FCS
