Member of 'Jena 6' arrested in Carrollton 8:34 AM CT

08:35 AM CST on Thursday, February 7, 2008
By RACHEL SLADE / The Dallas Morning News

Bryant Purvis A member of the 'Jena Six' accused of being in a fight at Hebron High School in Carrollton was released from jail Thursday morning, according to Denton County jail records.

Police said they arrested Bryant Purvis, 19, who is a student at the school, after a fight broke out Wednesday.

Dean Tackett, a Lewisville school district spokesman confirmed Thursday morning that an assault took place at the school, but did not have details on the incident.

:retard: :uhoh:

And I wore all Black (as dark as I am) on a 94 degree St. Louis day for this mofo.

:shame:

Mr. Purvis' mother, Tina Jones, told an Alexandria, La.-newspaper that her son was upset with a fellow student because her son believed the student had vandalized his car.
They shouldn't have messed with his ride. Yall know kids can be low down. Stop fronting. If you don't want your azz whipped don't mess with folks stuff. Hood rule number 1 Don't start what you can't finish.

"Ms. Jones said that after the incident, she sent her son to Texas to live with his uncle, Jason Hatcher, a Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman. "

I bet Hatcher is really pissed at his nephew... Hatcher is a low-key guy and very even tempered. I know he doesn't want this negative pub. :smh:

Yall kill me. Play puzzy and get screwed. These young cats are a different breed. They are low down and picked on the wrong one. Where I'm from you will catch a slug to the head. He got off easy.

Cee,
It's called growing up. At some point we all learned that you can't just react with violence.

You kill me trying to defend this nonsense (if it's true).

Yeah, messing with someone's property is low down, dirty, wrong, fugged up, etc.
HOWEVER, reacting with violence is not the answer nor legal (in some cases).

Part of being a man is knowing how to keep your cool and don't lose your ability reason in pressure situations. Out of control actions will sometimes yield dire consequences. I've been there;learned that, fortunately at an early age. This young man better get it together fast.

They are probably messing with him on purpose...wanting him to snap. He's human but I guess he can't protect himself and his property because of the "Jena 6" saga.

Get pissed at me, but this is how I feel.

I didn't SUPPORT the 'Jena 6' in the first place. Kids make mistakes, but I felt that in this case, those kids had made ENOUGH mistakes in life that if they had LEARNED from their mistakes, that whole incident could have been AVOIDED. When several thousand people BACKED them, they basically (IMO) said that 'its ok to keep making mistakes'.

If what was posted is CORRECT, then this young man lives with an uncle who is a PAID PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE. Not only does his uncle have the money to REPLACE/REPAIR whatever damage done to the car, but also I'm sure the car was INSURED.

Since the nation wide support of the Jena 6, some of these kids have made nothing but FOOLS out of the people who stood up for them.

I know its hard, but sometimes you have to let people get hit by the train.

While I totally understand you I'm sorry. It's just the gutter in me. You can take me from it but you can't take it out of me. Don't bother me and I want bother you, but if you bother me be willing to suffer what comes with it. That's why I tell these youngsters when you make the first move be willing to accept what comes with it.

Well he's still learning and growing up and dishing out ass whippings in the process. LOL

Yup, and getting suspended, and charged with assault, etc. ad nauseum

He's also gone run up against the wrong mofo, and be the dishee of one of them ass whippings, too. He'll likely sit his ass down after that.

This young man is still that a young man. Yall kill me if those lil punks didn't start it he wouldn't have had to finish it. This is why I have never cared for suburb kids. They ain't got no heart. Looking at TV will get you hurt. Don't start the fight if you can't finish it. Popping off at the mouth will get your front teeth knocked out.

He only ran up on them after they messed his ride up though. He reacted. For every action in life there is a reaction and that's what happened. He reacted.

HUH? Trouble found this kid in LA, now he moves to Lewisville, TX and trouble still finds him. Hebron has a student population of over 3400, believe me he ain't the BADDEST! Better learn how to BOW DOWN and keep living.

"All the people I know who ain't no PUNK got killed or in jail"

I had someone mess with my car when I was in high school once. I reacted, too.

I went to the attendance office and called my daddy. He had the claim check before I got home from school

I guess it's just the difference in upbringing.

Although, that batch did wonder what happened to her engine 'bout a month later ...
